I have done my 3 pattern rows, and now warring the leg. K1*p2,k2* repeat for a total of 3 times, then do stocking st for 5 sts, A1 3 times in total but at the start of A1 it's not at the beginning of the pattern, are you saying to start in the middle of a pattern sequence?
20.07.2016 - 13:26DROPS Design answered:
Dear Caroline, you should continue A.1 over previous diagrams worked: on this round work K1, then P2,K2 over next 12 sts (= 3 times in total), K5 (= 1+12+5=18 sts = first 2 repeats in A.1 from beg of round), then continue working A.1 a total of 3 times in width, then K5, K2,P2 over the next 12 sts and finish with K1 (= over the last 2 repeats in A.1 on the round). Happy knitting!

GARTER ST (in the round on double pointed needles): * K 1 round and P 1 round *, repeat from *-*. 1 ridge = 2 rounds. PATTERN: See diagram A.1. KNITTING TIP: To get rib mid back on heel and to get 3 repetitions of A.1 mid on top of foot the rib beg differently in the different sizes (i.e. 7-0-4 sts before marker mid back). HEEL DECREASE: Row 1 (= RS): Work in stocking st until 7-7-7 sts remain, slip next st as if to K, K 1, psso, turn piece. Row 2 (= WS): Work in stocking st until 7-7-7 sts remain, slip next st as if to P, P 1, psso, turn piece. Row 3 (= RS): Work in stocking st until 6-6-6 sts remain, slip next st as if to K, K 1, psso, turn piece. Row 4 (= WS): Work in stocking st until 6-6-6 sts remain, slip next st as if to P, P 1, psso, turn piece. Continue dec like this by working stocking st with 1 st less before each dec until there are 14-14-14 sts on needle. ---------------------------------------------------------- SOCK: Worked in the round on double pointed needles. Loosely cast on 60-63-72 sts on double pointed needles size 2.5 mm with Fabel. Work 1 ridge in GARTER ST - see explanation above. Then insert a marker at beg of round and work as follows: Work PATTERN according to diagram A.1(= 9 sts) 6-7-8 times in total. NOTE! In size 35/37 work 1 K st between every repetition of A.1. Continue this pattern until 3 repetitions have been worked vertically, and piece measures 9 cm. On next round work as follows: Dec 1-0-1 st by K 2 tog at beg of round, continue in stocking st until 7-0-4 sts remain before marker – READ KNITTING TIP! There are now 59-63-71 sts on needle. Then work as follows: K 1, * P 2, K 2 *, repeat from *-* 2 more times (= 3 times in total), stocking st over the next 3-5-9 sts, A.1 3 times in total (NOTE! The 1 K st between A.1 in size 35/37 is no longer worked), stocking st over the next 3-5-9 sts, * K 2, P 2 *, repeat from *-* 2 more times (= 3 times in total), and finish with K 1. Continue like this until piece measures 17-18-19 cm. Now keep the first 13 sts on needle, slip the next 33-37-45 sts on a stitch holder (= mid on top of foot) and keep the last 13 sts on needle = 26 sts for heel. Continue rib back and forth over heel sts for 5-5½-6 cm. Insert a marker and measure the piece from here. Now dec for heel - see heel decrease! After heel dec, pick up 12-14-16 sts along each side of heel and slip the 33-37-45 sts from stitch holder back on needle = 71-79-91 sts. Insert 1 marker on each side of the 33-37-45 sts on top of foot. Then work in stocking st and A.1 as before on top of foot and in stocking st under foot. At the same time dec in each side as follows: K the last 2 sts before the 33-37-45 sts on upper foot twisted tog (i.e. work in back loop instead of front) and K the first 2 sts after the 33-37-45 sts on top of foot tog. Repeat dec every other round a total of 9-11-14 times = 53-57-63 sts. Work until piece measures 18-19-21 cm from marker on heel. Insert 1 marker in each side so that there are 27-29-31 sts on top of foot and 26-28-32 sts under foot. Continue working in stocking st over all sts while at the same time dec for toes on each side of both markers. Dec as follows before 1 K st and marker: K 2 tog. Dec as follows after marker and 1 K st: K 2 twisted tog. Continue dec like this in each side every other round 4-6-8 times in total and then every round 6-5-4 times = 13-13-15 sts remain on needle. On next round work all sts tog 2 by 2. Cut the yarn and pull it through the remaining sts, tighten tog and fasten. |
