I'm sorry. I still don't understand. No where in the pattern does it call for crocheting any stitches "tog" (together). And on round 4: are the dc between the 4 dc on the toe to be done as 2 dc between EACH of the 4dc? Or 2dc in the middle of the 4dc?
25.06.2014 - 22:27DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Mack, on round 4 you work 2 dc but wait with last pull through (= 3 loops on hook), pull yarn through all loops (like a "crochet 2 dc tog") as in the video below each side of the toe sts. Happy crocheting!

I also noticed (round 5) that by the time you finish the round, you have far more than the 55 stitches mentioned that will be worked in the next round (in fact I'll have 80-something after round 5....far more than is called for for even the largest slipper). I think this pattern needs a review for errors.

Ok. Am on round 5 and have big problem. When I completed the work dc between dc-grouos for the 2nd time (following the *-* portion), I am on the side of the heel yet the next instruction says sl st in 3rd ch from beginning of round when I am no where near the beginning of the round. There are still 11 dc groups between where I am and the beginning of the round! ???
24.06.2014 - 04:26DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Mack, see answer below - on round 4, you work 2 kind of dc group, on toe (crochet 2 dc tog = 1 st ), along sides and heel, work 2 dc between each dc group from previous round. Happy crocheting!

TobDawn: I'm having the same issue. Have ripped out & restarted numerous times thinkng I just read the pattern wrong. You got further than me if you made it to round 5. Mine wohld fo lop-sided by round 2 or 3. And in round 4, when it says to "between the next 4dc, work 2dc" - does that mean 2dc between each 1 of the 4 dc, or is it 2dc spread out evenly between the 4dc? Oh, and at that point, I'm also already past the mid-front of toe.

I've got to r5 and I just don't understand. ??? Pattern doesn't seem symetrical. Double crochet 17 takes me almost up to toe but doesn't repeat down other side? Im lost
23.06.2014 - 22:08DROPS Design answered:
Dear Dawn, on round 4, you have 7 times (2 dc crochet tog) each side of the toe, and 2 dc between the 4 dc at toe. On next round (= round 5), work 1 dc in each of the 7 next sts (ie 1 dc over 2 dc tog from round 4) from beg of previous round + 1 dc in each of the 2 dc at toe + 1 dc in each of the next 7 sts + 1 dc in next dc = 17 dc, you continue then with 2 dc between each 2 dc from previous round as on round 4. Happy crocheting!

I've tried this pattern numerous times now but in each instance, by the time I get to round #2, the pattern on the top of the slipper has shifted too far left and I don't know why. I think I give up.

In Round 2, for the *-* portion atthe end of the round, I don't understand how to do "skip 1 stitch, 1 ch." If I already have a loop on the hook from the previous sc, and then I skip a stitch, do I then ch 1 before doing the next sc? Or does it mean add a chain somehow between the sc stitches? Explain "ch 1", in sequence.
21.06.2014 - 08:25DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Mack, work this part of round 2 as follows: *sc1 in next st from previous row, ch 1, do not work the next sc on previous row*, repeat from *-*, you will have some sc from previous row unworked with 1 ch above these sts. Happy crocheting!

Hello. Thank you for providing this great pattern. But i am having a little trouble understanding a small part of it. Please can you help. My question is about round 4. Where do i start this round from? And where is this round for? The front (the toe area)? The back? Or the whole slipper i.e. Right round the slipper? I hope this question makes sense. Sorry if it doesn't. Thanks
26.07.2012 - 22:58DROPS Design answered:
Dear Charlotte, round 4 of the slipper starts and is worked around the slipper to create the sole. Happy crocheting!

Hi Corina. Make sure to click US flag for US version of this pattern. You start by "ch 52-60-68 sts", i.e. same number of chain sts for all languages.
