Could you tell me how much yarn of each I would need if I wanted to make the border a different color from the center stockinette part of the blanket? Thank you.

Dear Mrs Matthews, some patterns requires more yarn than stocking st, you can work a swatch, and calculate the required amount of yarn required for the total blanket. Your DROPS store will help you with tips & advices with required. Happy knitting!

Hello everyone, I found out that Eskimo is a bit rough for the skin of a baby so I was wondering whether I can use baby merino or a yarn more suitable for a baby. In this case I don't know how to change the pattern in order to achieve the same result. For example how many stitches should I cast on? Thank you very much in advance!

Dear Sofia, you can use 4 strands Baby Merino instead of 1 strand Eskimo - see alternatives and how to calculate amount of yarn here - remember you will get also help from your store if required. Happy knitting!

Stickar i Cloud, sickor nr 9. Stickfastheten stämmer men filten är bara 52 cm bred! Vad är felet?
12.01.2015 - 20:22DROPS Design answered:
Hei Britt.

I am interested in making making one of your Drop Designs, the picture says BabyDrop 16-9. I want to make it suitable for use in a stroller for my twin granchildren. They have a side by side double stroller. Since they are not born yet, I would like to make it in a very soft off white. How much yrn would I need? Thank you for your help.

I really love this pattern, but I want to make it in a light weight #3 yarn. How do I calculate the needle size & yarn amount for this. I am thinking to triple the cast on to about 120 or maybe a minimum of 100 stitches & use a US8 circular needle. The yarn I have is 4 ozs./377 yards. I did not realize the Eskimo yarn was alpaca when I first printed out the pattern & then went to look at the yarn at the store.
