Dear Gaylyn, usually there is no problem when printing the diagram, so I believe it's not a webpage error. You should try to print it with another browser.

------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN: ------------------------------------------------------- PATTERN: Diagram A.1 shows the square, diagram A.2 shows the order in which the squares are assembled. SQUARE COLOURS: Each square is worked with 6 different colours. When changing colour, work the last slip stitch on the round with the new colour. Fasten the old strand by laying it along the top of the next few stitches and working around it, before cutting and fastening the strand. The squares have the following colour combinations: SQUARE 1: Cast on + rounds 1-2: desert rose Round 3: old rose Rounds 4-6: maroon Rounds 7-8: black Round 9: light beige brown Rounds 10-11: chocolate brown SQUARE 2: Cast on + rounds 1-2: maroon Round 3: old rose Rounds 4-6: desert rose Rounds 7-8: light beige brown Round 9: chocolate brown Rounds 10-11: black SQUARE 3: Cast on + rounds 1-2: old rose Round 3: black Rounds 4-6: chocolate brown Rounds 7-8: desert rose Round 9: maroon Rounds 10-11: light beige brown SQUARE 4: Cast on + rounds 1-2: light beige brown Round 3: maroon Rounds 4-6: old rose Rounds 7-8: black Round 9: desert rose Rounds 10-11: chocolate brown ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- BLANKET – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: The piece consists of 24 squares. Work 6 squares in each of the 4 colour combinations. When all the squares are finished, the squares are crocheted together and an edge is crocheted around the whole blanket. SQUARES: Using Karisma and crochet hook size 4.5 mm, read SQUARE COLOURS – in the explanations above, work according to diagram A.1. REMEMBER THE CROCHET TENSION! Each square measures approx. 24 x 24 cm. ASSEMBLY: Lay the squares out as shown in diagram A.2. Make sure all the squares are right-side up. Now crochet the squares together using chocolate brown in strips of 4 squares as follows: Lay the first 2 squares together, wrong side to wrong side and work 1 double crochet around the corner of both squares, * work 1 double crochet through the outermost loop of each double crochet along the one side. Work 1 double crochet around last corners, 2 chain stitches between the next 2 squares and 1 double crochet around the next corners *. Work from *-* until all 4 squares have been worked together – finish with 1 double crochet around the last corner. When the strips have been completed, work them together in width in the same way. EDGE: Use chocolate brown and crochet needle size 4.5 mm. Start by fastening the strand with 1 slip stitch in 1st corner and then work as follows: 3 chain stitches, 1 treble crochet, 3 chain stitches and 2 treble crochets around this corner. * Work 1 treble crochet in each double crochet as far as the seam between the next 2 squares, work 1 treble crochet around both corners *, work from *-* to the next corner of this side of the blanket. Around the 2nd corner work 2 treble crochets, 3 chain stitches and 2 treble crochets. Work from *-* to the next corner on this side of the blanket. Around the 3rd corner work 2 treble crochets, 3 chain stitches and 2 treble crochets. Work from *-* to the next corner on this side of the blanket. Around the 4th corner work 2 treble crochets, 3 chain stitches and 2 treble crochets. Work from *-* to the last corner on the blanket and work 1 slip stitch in the 3rd chain stitch at the beginning of the round. Cut and fasten the strand. |
