Hi "At the same time when piece measures 35-36-36-37-38-42 cm cast off for armhole – read Decreasing tips – as described for back piece = 33-34-34-35-36-40 sts. " Perhaps it is? "Decreasing tips – as described for back piece = 35-36-36-37-38-42 sts." Regards Kelly

DROPS jacket with short sleeves in stocking st and blackberry pattern in ”Silke-Alpaca”. Sizes: S - XXXL

Pattern: See diagram M.1. NB! First row in diagram is worked from WS. English translations for the wording in diagrams are given at the bottom of this pattern and they are given in the vertical order in which they appear in the diagram. Garter st, back and forth on needle: K all rows. Buttonholes: Cast off for buttonholes on right front band. 1 buttonhole = cast off 3rd st from mid front and cast on 1 new st on return row. Cast off for buttonhole when piece measures: Size XS: 4, 11, 18, 25, 32 and 39 cm. Size M: 4, 11, 18, 25, 32 and 39 cm. Size L: 4, 11, 19, 26, 34 and 41 cm. Size XL: 5, 12, 20, 27, 35 and 43 cm. Size XXL: 5, 12, 19, 26, 33, 40 and 47 cm. Size XXXL: 5, 12, 19, 26, 33, 40 and 47 cm. NB! Last buttonhole is made on neckline. See explanation under neckline. Measuring tip: Because of the weight of the yarn all measurements should be made whilst the garment is hanging, otherwise it will be too long when worn. Decreasing tip: Because of dec for armhole, number of sts will not always fit M.1. Work sts not fitting into a full pattern repeat in garter st. Back piece: Cast on 70-77-84-92-102-113 sts (includes 1 edge st each side) on needles size 4.5 mm with Silke-Alpaca. Work 4 rows garter st – see explanation above - and continue in stocking st. Remember knitting tension! At the same time when piece measures 10 cm inc 1 st each side on every 9 -9 -10 -10 -11 -11 cm a total of 3 times = 76-83-90-98-108-119 sts. When piece measures 30-31-32-33-34-35 cm – adjust so next row is from WS – work 2 rows garter st, at the same time on first row adjust number of sts to 76-84-92-100-108-120. Now complete piece in M.1, at the same time when piece measures 33-34-35-36-37-38 cm cast off for armhole – read Decreasing tip – each side on every other row: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 1-2-4-5-6-8 times and 1 st 2-3-3-4-5-5 times = 62-64-64-66-68-72 sts. When piece measures approx 50-52-54-56-58-60 cm cast off the middle 26-26-26-28-30-30 sts for neck and dec 1 st on neckline on next row = 17-18-18-18-18-20 sts left on each shoulder. Cast off when piece measures 52-54-56-58-60-62 cm Left front piece: Cast on 38-42-45-49-54-60 sts (includes 1 edge st at side) on needles size 4.5 mm with Silke-Alpaca. Work 4 rows garter st and continue in stocking st with 6 garter sts towards mid front (= front band). At the same time when piece measures 10 cm inc at side as described for back piece = 41-45-48-52-57-63 sts. When piece measures 30-31-32-33-34-35 cm – adjust so next row is from WS – work 4 rows garter, at the same time on first row adjust number of sts to 42-46-50-54-58-66. Now complete piece in M.1, with 6 front band sts and 1 edge st at side in garter st. At the same time when piece measures 33-34-35-36-37-38 cm cast off for armhole – read Decreasing tips – as described for back piece = 33-34-34-35-36-40 sts. When piece measures approx 44-46-48-50-52-54 cm slip the outermost 12-12-12-13-14-17 sts towards mid front on a 1 thread or stitch holder and dec to shape neckline on every other row: 1 st 6 times = 17-18-18-18-18-19 sts left on shoulder. Cast off when piece measures 52-54-56-58-60-62 cm. Right front piece: Like left front piece but mirrored. Remember to cast off for buttonholes! See explanation above. Sleeve: Cast on 52-52-56-56-60-60 sts on needles size 4.5 mm with Silke-Alpaca. Work 4 rows garter st and now complete piece in M.1. When piece measures 10-9-9-9-8-7 cm - NB! Shorter measurements in larger sizes due to longer sleeve cap and wider shoulders – dec to shape the sleeve cap – read Decreasing tips - each side on every other row: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 2 times, 1 st 2-3-4-4-6-8 times, then 2 sts each side until piece measures 15-16-17-17-17-17 cm. Now cast off 3 sts each side 1 time and cast off remaining sts on next row. Piece measures approx 17-17-18-18-19-20 cm. Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Set in sleeves. Sew sleeve seams and side seams, within 1 edge st in stocking st part, and edge to edge in blackberry pattern. Neckline: Pick up 68-78 sts (includes sts on thread or stitch holder) on needle size 4.5 mm with Silke-Alpaca. Knit 6 rows garter st, at the same time on row 4 make 1 buttonhole in line with the others on right front band. Cast off after 6 rows. Sew on buttons. |
