JUMPER: Knitting tension: 21 sts x 28 rows on needles size 4 mm in moss st = 10 x 10 cm. Garter st, back and forth on needle: K all rows. Garter st, in the round: K 1 round, P 1 round. Moss st: first row: K1, P1, second row: P over K and K over P, repeat second row. Rib: *K2, P2*, repeat from *-*. Front and back piece: Worked in the round. Cast on 104-112-124 (132-132) sts on circular needle size 2.5 mm with off-white and knit 3-3-3 (4-4) cm Rib. Change to needle size 4 mm, P 1 round, at the same time inc 2-2-2 (6-24) sts evenly on round = 106-114-126 (138-156) sts. Continue in moss st and remember the knitting tension. When piece measures 17-18-20 (21-21) cm knit next round as follows from the RS: 51-55-61 (67-76) sts = front piece, cast off 2 sts for armhole, 51-55-61 (67-76) sts = back piece, cast off 2 sts for armhole. Now complete front and back pieces separately. Front piece: = 51-55-61 (67-76) sts. Dec to shape the armhole on every other row as follows: 2 sts 1-0-1 (1-1) time, 1 st 1-2-1 (2-1) times = 45-51-55 (59-70) sts. When piece measures 19-20-22 (23-24) cm cast off 7-7-7 (7-8) sts mid front for split and complete each side separately. When piece measures 25-27-29 (31-35) cm dec to shape the neckline on every other row: 4-5-6 (7-9) sts 1 time, 2 sts 1 time and 1 st 2 times. Cast off remaining sts when piece measures 29-31-34 (36-40) cm. Back piece: = 51-55-61 (67-76) sts. Dec for armhole as described for front piece = 45-51-55 (59-70) sts. When piece measures 27-29-32 (34-38) cm cast off the middle 19-21-23 (25-30) sts for neck and dec to shape the neckline on next row: 2 sts 1 time. Cast off remaining sts when piece measures 29-31-34 (36-40) cm. Sleeve: Cast on 40-44-44 (48-48) sts on double pointed needles size 2.5 mm with off-white and knit 3-3-3(4-4) cm Rib. Change to needle size 4 mm, P 1 round and continue in moss st. At the same time after the Rib inc 2 sts mid under arm a total of 5-5-7 (8-16) times as follows: Size 3 + 12/18 months: on every 3 cm Size 6/9 months + 2 years: on every 4 cm Size 3 years: on every 1 and1.5 cm alternately = 50-54-58 (64-80) sts. When piece measures 21-25-27 (29-31) cm cast off 8 sts mid under arm and complete sleeve back and forth on needle. Dec to shape the sleeve cap each side on every other row: 4 sts 2-2-2 (3-3) times. Cast off when sleeve measures 23-27-29 (32-34) cm. Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Pick up approx 20-22-26 (28-38) sts along left side of split on needle size 2.5 mm with off-white, P 1 row and knit 3 cm Rib back and forth on needle, cast off. Repeat along right front edge, but after 1cm make 2 buttonholes, the top one 1 cm from neckline and the bottom one 2 cm from bottom edge. 1 buttonhole = cast off 3 sts and cast on 3 new sts on return row. Fasten split at bottom. Pick up approx 78-84 sts round the neck (do not pick up on front edges) on needle size 2.5 mm with off-white from the WS (edge to be folded towards RS afterwards). Knit 5-5-5 (6-6) cm garter st back and forth on needle, at the same time inc 1 st on each side of the middle sts mid back on every other row. Cast off. Set in sleeves and sew on buttons. TROUSERS: Size: 3 – 6/9 – 12/18 months (2 – 3) years Length: 38-42-47 (50-57) cm. Leg length: 18-20-23 (26-31) cm. DROPS circular needle and double pointed needle size 3 mm and 3.5 mm Knitting tension: 21 sts x 33 rows on needles size 3.5 mm in moss st = 10 x 10 cm. Rib: *K2, P2*, repeat from *-*. Pattern: The diagram is seen from the RS. Right leg: Cast on 49-49-56 (56-63) sts on double pointed needle size 3 mm with beige and knit chart M.1. When piece measures 5-5-5 (6-6) change to needle size 3.5 mm and continue in moss st, at the same time dec 7-7-6 (2-3) sts evenly on round = 42-42-50 (54-60) sts. Now inc 2 sts on inside leg on every 4-5-8 (10-16) round a total of 8-9-6 (6-4) times = 58-60-62 (66-68) sts. Remember the knitting tension. When piece measures 15-17-20 (23-29) cm divide piece at inside leg (= split) and complete piece back and forth on needle. Inc 1 st each side for seam = 60-62-64 (68-70) sts. When piece measures 18-22-23 (26-31) cm cast off 3 sts each side = 54-56-58 (62-62) sts. Put piece aside and knit the other leg. Left leg: knit as right leg. Trousers: Put left and right leg in on the same circular needle = 108-112-116 (124-128) sts. Insert a marker mid front and mid back. Now inc on both sides of the middle 2 sts mid back and dec on both sides of the middle 2 sts mid front on every other 3rd round as follows: back 1 st 6 times, front 1 st 4 times. Dec as follows: before marker, K2 tog, after marker, slip 1 st as if to knit, K1, psso = 112-116-120 (128-132) sts. When piece measures 35-39-44 (47-54) cm change to needle size 3 mm, at the same time dec to 112-116-120 (120-128) sts and knit 3 cm, but after 1 cm knit next row as follows: *K2 tog, 1 yo, P2*, repeat from *-*. Cast off after Rib. Assembly: Sew tog leg seams and mid back. Fold edge double towards WS and fasten. Insert a string in eyelet row. BOOTIES: Size: 3 – 6/9 – 12/18 months (2 -3 years) Foot length: 10-11-12 (13-14) cm DROPS straight needles size 2.5 mm Knitting tension: 23 sts x 32 rows on needles size 2.5 mm in stocking st = 10 x 10 cm. Rib: *K2, P2*, repeat from *-*. Cast on 34-34-36 (36-38) sts on needle size 2.5 mm with off-white and knit 5-5-6 (6-7) cm Rib back and forth on needle from mid back. Knit next row as follows from RS: *K2 tog, 1 yo*, repeat from *-*. Knit 1 row stocking st. Put 12-12-12 (12-13) sts on a thread each side and knit 4-5-5 (6-6) cm moss st on the middle 10-12-12 (12-12) sts. Put sts from threads back on needle and pick up 8-11-12 (14-14) sts on each side of the middle piece = 50-56-60 (64-66) sts. Knit 3-4-5 (5-6) cm stocking st on all sts, at the same time after 1-2-2.5 (2.5-3) cm dec on every other row as follows: 1 st at the beg and 1 st at the end of row and K2 tog on both sides of the middle 2 sts for another 3-4-4 (5-5) cm. Cast off and sew seam under foot and along the Rib. Crochet a chain on crochet hook size 2.5 mm, approx 25 cm long, and thread through eyelet row. |
