MAGIC CIRCLE: To avoid hole in the middle beg with this technique: Hold yarn end in the left hand and make a loop around left index finger (from left to right). Hold the loop with left thumb and index finger. * Insert hook through loop, get the yarn from ball, pull yarn through loop, make 1 YO on hook and pull YO through st on hook = 1 dc *, repeat from *-* until there are 8 dc in loop, finish with 1 sl st in first dc. Continue as explained in pattern – AT THE SAME TIME pull yarn end so that loop is tighten tog and the hole disappears. CROCHET INFO: Replace first dc at beg of round with 1 ch. Finish every round with 1 sl st in first ch from beg of round and turn. I.e. when piece is worked in the round, work alternately from RS and WS and fasten with 1 sl st in first ch on round. CROCHET TOG: Crochet 2 dc tog into 1 dc as follows: Insert hook in first st, pull yarn through, insert hook in next st, pull yarn through, make a YO and pull yarn through all 3 sts on hook. BALL: To make 3 three threads of wine red divide the ball into 3. ---------------------------------------------------------- SLIPPER: Slipper is worked on hook size 8 mm with 3 strands Karisma. Beg working from the toe. Piece is first worked in the round - read CROCHET INFO, then worked back and forth. FOOT: Make a MAGIC CIRCLE - see explanation above - with 1 strand wine red, 1 strand red and 1 strand light brown (= 3 strands). ROUND 1 (WS): Turn piece and inc 6-7-8 dc evenly = 14-15-16 dc. ROUND 2 (RS): Turn piece and work 1 dc in every dc. ROUND 3 (WS): Turn piece and inc 6-7-8 dc evenly = 20-22-24 dc. REMEMBER THE CROCHET TENSION! Work 2 rounds with 1 dc in every dc, finish with 1 sl st in first ch. Switch to 3 strands wine red - READ BALL and work 1 more round the same way (work last round from RS). Switch to 1 strand red, 1 strand off white and 1 strand light brown (= 3 strands) and work until piece measures 8-9-10 cm. HEEL: Now divide the piece and work back and forth over the first 15-17-19 sts. When slipper measures approx. 21-24-26 cm, place it double and work tog mid back with 1 row sl sts from WS through both layers. EDGE: Work around the entire slipper from RS with 1 strand red, 1 strand off white and 1 strand light brown as follows: 1 dc in every row and 1 dc in every dc mid on top of foot, finish round with 1 sl st in 1st dc. Switch to 3 strands wine red. Then work 1 row with 1 dc in every dc AT THE SAME TIME dec 5 dc evenly - read CROCHET TOG. Fasten off. Work another slipper. |
