Gauge: 17 sts x 22 rows on larger needles in stockinette st = 10 x 10 cm. Rib-1: Row 1 (right side): * K 4, P 1 *, repeat from * - *. Row 2 (wrong side): * P 4, K 1 *, repeat from * - *. Rib-2: Row 1 (right side): * K 4, P 3 *, repeat from * - *. Row 2 (wrong side): * P 4, K 3 *, repeat from * - *. Stripe pattern: See charts. The pattern is knit entirely in stockinette st. The charts are placed sideways on the page, with the bottom of the charts toward the inner edge of the page. Front: Cast on 72-77-82-92-97 sts on smaller needles with natural Paris and knit Rib-1 keeping 1 st at each side in garter st for 10 cm, then change to larger needles and stockinette st. On the 1st row after the rib: Size S: dec 2 sts Size L: inc 2 sts Size XL: dec 2 sts Size XXL: inc 2 sts (for size M do not inc or dec) = 70-77-84-91-99 sts. Read the entire next section before knitting: Side incs: When the piece measures 12 cm inc 1 st at each side every 5-5-5-6-6 cm a total of 4 times = 78-85-92-99-107 sts. Stripe pattern: At the same time when the piece measures 14-15-16-17-18 cm knit stripes following Pattern M.1a and M.1b, then knit with natural Paris to finished measurements. Armhole: At the same time when the piece measures 33-34-35-36-37 cm bind off for armhole at each side every other row: 3 sts 1-1-1-2-2 times, 2 sts 0-1-3-3-5 times and 1 st 4-4-3-3-3 times = 64-67-68-69-69 sts. When the piece measures 42-44-46-48-50 cm bind off the center 20-21-22-23-23 sts for the neck. Then bind off at each neck edge every other row: 2 sts 2 times and 1 st 3 times = 15-16-16-16-16 sts remain on each shoulder. Bind off when the piece measures 52-54-56-58-60 cm. Back: Cast on and knit the same as the front. Bind off for armhole as on front. When the piece measures 50-52-54-56-58 cm bind off the center 32-33-34-35-35 sts for the neck. On the next row dec 1 st at each neck edge = 15-16-16-16-16 sts remain on each shoulder. Bind off when the piece measures 52-54-56-58-60 cm. Sleeve: Cast on 58-58-58-65-65 sts on smaller needles with natural Paris. Knit Rib-2, keeping 1 st at each side in garter st. When the piece measures 2 cm dec all P 3 to P 2 = 50-50-50-56-56 sts. When the piece measures 5 cm dec all P 2 to P 1 (= Rib-1) = 42-42-42-47-47 sts. Continue with Rib-1 until the piece measures 14 cm, change to larger needles and stockinette st. Read the entire next section before knitting: After the rib inc 1 st at each side every 4-3-2.5-2.5-2nd cm a total of 9-11-12-11-13 times = 60-64-66-69-73 sts. Stripe pattern: At the same time when the piece measures 18 cm knit stripes following Pattern M.2a and M.2b, then knit with natural Paris to finished measurements. At the same time when sleeve measures 48-47-45-44-43 cm bind off for sleeve cap at each side every other row: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 2-2-1-1-1 times and 1 st 3-4-8-9-11 times, then bind off 2 sts at each side until the piece measures 55-55-55-55-56 cm, then bind off 3 sts 1 time at each side. Bind off the remaining sts, the piece measures approx. 56-56-56-56-57 cm. Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Neckband: Pick up approx. 96-108 sts (divisible by 6) around the neck on smaller short circular needles with natural Paris; join and knit 6 rows stockinette st (= rolled edge). So that the neckband will roll nicely, inc sts at the same time as you bind off as follows: * bind off 6 sts, yo and pull st on right needle over yo *, repeat from * - * around row. Sew in sleeves. Sew sleeve and side seams using edge sts as a seam allowance. |
