T. Pia

Hei, DROPS Alpaca-lanka on hyvin riittoisa lanka, joten 4 kerän tulisi riittää, kunhan neuletiheytesi on sama kuin ohjeessa.

------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN: ------------------------------------------------------- DOUBLE STRAND: If you have an odd number of balls, you can use a double strand from the same ball. Use the strand from both the inside and outside of the ball. When changing balls, try to change in different places so the fastened threads are less visible. RAGLAN: Increase 1 stitch by making 1 yarn over, which is worked as follows on the next round: BEFORE RAGLAN-STITCHES (yarn over twists to the right): Slip the yarn over from the left needle onto the right needle purl-wise, then replace it on the left needle by inserting the needle through the back (the yarn over is the other way round). Knit through the stitch loop that is on the front of the needle (avoids a hole). AFTER RAGLAN-STITCHES (yarn over twists to the left): Knit through the stitch loop that is on the back of the needle (avoids a hole). SLEEVE TIP: When knitting up stitches under the sleeve, you can get a small hole in the transition between stitches on the body and sleeve. This hole can be closed by picking up the strand between 2 stitches and working this strand twisted together with the first stitch between body and sleeve. DECREASE TIP: Decrease 1 stitch on each side of the marker-thread as follows: Work until there are 3 stitches left before the marker-thread, knit 2 together, knit 2 (marker-thread sits between these 2 stitches), slip 1 stitch knit-wise, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch (2 stitches decreased). ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- JUMPER – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: The pattern uses both long and short needles; start with the length which fits the number of stitches and change when necessary. The neck and yoke are worked in the round with circular needle, top down and from the right back shoulder. When the yoke is finished, it is divided for the body and sleeves and the body continued in the round, while the sleeves wait. The sleeves are worked top down, in the round. NECK: Cast on 64-66-70-72-74-76-78 stitches slightly loosely with circular needle size 5 mm and 2 strands DROPS Alpaca – read DOUBLE STRAND in explanations above. Work stocking stitch in the round for 4-4-5-5-5-6-6 cm (= rolled edge). The round begins on the right back shoulder. Insert 1 marker after the first 22-22-23-24-24-25-25 stitches (approx. mid-front), the piece is measured from here. YOKE: Insert 4 markers, without working the stitches and inserting each marker between 2 stitches (raglan-stitches). You increase for raglan on each side of the raglan-stitches. Insert marker-1 before the first stitch, count 11 stitches (= sleeve), Insert marker-2 before the next stitch, count 21-22-24-25-26-27-28 stitches (= front piece), Insert marker-3 before the next stitch, count 11 stitches (= sleeve), Insert marker-4 before the next stitch, there are 21-22-24-25-26-27-28 stitches left after the last marker (= back piece). Work stocking stitch in the round and increase for RAGLAN on each side of the raglan-stitches - read explanation above describing how to increase. Increase for raglan every 2nd round, on each side of all sets of raglan-stitches, 10-11-12-13-14-15-16 times = 144-154-166-176-186-196-206 stitches (8 increased stitches on each increase-round). Remember to maintain the knitting tension. The increases on the sleeves are finished. Continue increasing on the front and back pieces every 2nd round 4 more times (4 increased stitches on each increase-round) = 160-170-182-192-202-212-222 stitches. All increases for raglan are finished: a total of 14-15-16-17-18-19-20 increases in height on the front and back pieces and 10-11-12-13-14-15-16 increases in height on the sleeves. Continue working without further increases until the piece measures 13-14-15-15-16-17-18 cm from the marker mid-front. Now divide for the body and sleeves. DIVIDE FOR BODY AND SLEEVES: Place the first 31-33-35-37-39-41-43 stitches on a stitch holder for the sleeve, cast on 6 stitches (mid-under the sleeve), knit 49-52-56-59-62-65-68 (= front piece), place the next 31-33-35-37-39-41-43 stitches on a stitch holder for the sleeve, cast on 6 stitches (mid-under the sleeve), knit the last 49-52-56-59-62-65-68 stitches (= back piece). The body and sleeves are finished separately. BODY: = 110-116-124-130-136-142-148 stitches. Continue stocking stitch in the round until the piece measures 27-30-34-38-41-43-45 cm from the marker mid-front. Change to circular needle size 4 mm. Work rib (knit 3, purl 3), AT THE SAME TIME increase 10-10-14-14-14-20-20 stitches evenly on the first round = 120-126-138-144-150-162-168 stitches. When the rib measures 3-3-3-3-4-4-4 cm cast off with knit. The jumper measures approx. 30-33-37-41-45-47-49 cm from the marker mid-front and 33-36-40-44-48-50-52 cm from the shoulder. SLEEVES: Place the 31-33-35-37-39-41-43 sleeve-stitches from one stitch holder onto circular needle size 5 mm and knit up 1 stitch in each of the 6 stitches cast on under the sleeve – read SLEEVE TIP = 37-39-41-43-45-47-49 stitches. Insert a marker-thread in the middle of the 6 stitches under the sleeve. The round starts by the marker-thread. Work stocking stitch in the round. AT THE SAME TIME, when the sleeve measures 2 cm from the division, decrease mid-under the sleeve – read DECREASE TIP, as follows: Decrease 2 stitches every 10 cm, 2-2-3-3-3-3-3 times = 33-35-35-37-39-41-43 stitches. Continue working until the sleeve measures 18-23-26-31-34-38-41 cm from the division. Change to double pointed needles size 4 mm. Work rib (knit 3, purl 3), AT THE SAME TIME increase 3-1-1-5-3-1-5 stitches evenly on the first round = 36-36-36-42-42-42-48 stitches. When the rib measures 3-3-3-3-4-4-4 cm, cast off with knit. The sleeve measures approx. 21-26-29-34-38-42-45 cm from the division. |
