Buon lavoro!

Are there downloadable PDFs of your patterns? I like to have printed copies to look at when knitting instead of having to sit in front of a computer or have my iPad next to me.
02.04.2019 - 20:49DROPS Design answered:
Dear Kirstin, our patterns can only be printed, but choosing a virtual printer while printing will allow you to save them as a .PDF. Happy knitting!

It looks like this only goes up to a US waist size 22" based on the 56 at the top of the skirt in diagram A.1, which I'm assuming is in cm? Any tips if you want to make a skirt larger than 22"?
02.04.2019 - 19:15DROPS Design answered:
Dear Kirstin, the measurements in chart are showing the skirt laying flat, ie when you read 34 cm in size S you have to multiply by 2 to get the circumference of waist = 34x2= 68 cm = 26.77 inches - read more about sizing and convert here. Happy knitting!

|||||||||||||||||||||||||
INFORMATION FOR THE PATTERN: RIDGE/GARTER STITCH (worked in the round): 1 ridge = 2 rounds. Knit 1 round and purl 1 round. INCREASE TIP (evenly spaced): All increases are worked on a knitted round. Increase 1 stitch by making 1 yarn over between 2 stitches; on the next round purl the yarn over twisted to avoid a hole. To work out how to increase evenly, count the total number of stitches on the needle (e.g. 150 stitches) and divide by the number of increases to be made (e.g. 5) = 30. In this example, increase after every 30th stitch. PATTERN: See diagram A.1. Choose diagram for your size. ---------------------------------------------------------- SKIRT: The skirt is worked in the round, top down. Cast on 150-162-180-202-224-246 stitches with circular needle size 3.5 mm and Cotton Merino. Work GARTER STITCH – see description above. When the piece measures 2 cm, insert 1 marker in the piece (= folding edge, this will be folded later and sewn down on the wrong side of the skirt). The piece is now measured from here! REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When the piece measures 1 cm increase 5 stitches evenly on round – read INCREASE TIP! Increase like this every 8th-8th-6th-6th-6th-6th round a total of 8-10-13-14-16-18 times. Then increase 2-4-3-0-0-0 stitches evenly on the next knitted round = 192-216-248-272-304-336 stitches. When the piece measures 16-18-20-22-24-26 cm from the marker, change to circular needle size 4 mm and work A.1 (= 8 stitches) over all stitches (= 24-27-31-34-38-42 times in width). When A.1 has been worked 1 time vertically, work A.2 over all stitches. Continue with A.3 over all stitches. When all stitches are increased there are 456-513-589-612-646-714 stitches on the needle. Continue the diagram and cast off as described on the last round in A.1; you can use 1 needle size larger to cast off with to avoid the cast-off edge being tight. The piece measures a total of 58-60-62-64-66-68 cm (including the folding edge). ASSEMBLY: Fold the lining towards the wrong side and sew down neatly. Leave a small opening to thread the elastic through. |
