KNITTING TIP: Make sure to start a new ball at the side and not mid piece. GARTER ST (back and forth on needle): K all rows. DECREASING TIP (neckline): Make all dec from RS as follows: After 4 garter sts: slip 1 st as if to K, K1, psso. Before 4 garter sts: K2 tog. BACK PIECE – SEE KNITTING TIP! Cast on 100-110-120-130-140-152 sts (includes 1 edge st each side) on needle size 3.5 mm with Cotton Viscose and K 1 row from WS. Change to Kid-Silk, work 4 rows garter st – see above – and continue in stocking st. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When piece measures approx 26-27-28-29-30-31 cm (adjust so that next row is from RS) work 4 rows garter st in Cotton Viscose. Change back to Kid-Silk, work 2 rows stocking st and work next row as follows (from RS): 1 edge st, * K2 tog, 1 YO *, repeat from *-*, and finish with 1 edge st. P 1 row from WS. Change to Cotton Viscose, work 4 rows garter st and now complete piece in Kid-Silk and stocking st. When piece measures 37-38-39-40-41-42 cm cast off for armhole each side at the beg of every row: 4 sts 1-1-1-1-1-2 times, 3 sts 0-1-2-2-3-3 times, 2 sts 1-2-2-3-3-3 times and 1 st 4-3-3-4-4-4 times = 80-82-86-90-94-98 sts left on row. When piece measures 53-55-57-59-61-63 cm work 4 rows garter st on 32 sts mid back (work remaining sts as before) and now cast off the middle 24 sts for neck = 28-29-31-33-35-37 sts left on each shoulder. Complete each shoulder separately with 4 garter sts towards neckline. Cast off when piece measures 56-58-60-62-64-66 cm. RIGHT FRONT PIECE: Cast on 50-55-60-65-70-76 sts (includes 1 edge st at the side) on needle size 3.5 mm with Cotton Viscose and K 1 row from WS. Change to Kid-Silk, work 4 rows garter st and continue in stocking st with 1 edge st at the side and 4 front band sts towards mid front in garter st. When piece measures approx 26-27-28-29-30-31 cm (adjust so that next row is from RS) work 4 rows garter st with Cotton Viscose. Change back to Kid-Silk, work 2 rows stocking st and work next row as follows (from RS): 4 garter sts (= front band), * K2 tog, 1 YO *, repeat from *-*, and finish with 1-0-1-0-1-1 K sts and 1 edge st. P 1 row from WS. Change to Cotton Viscose, work 4 rows garter st, and now complete piece in Kid-Silk and stocking st with front band in garter st. AT THE SAME TIME after 1 cm in Kid-Silk cast off to shape the neckline towards mid front – SEE DECREASING TIP: 1 st on every 6th row a total of 12 times. AT THE SAME TIME when piece measures 37-38-39-40-41-42 cm cast off for armhole at the side as described for back piece. When all dec are complete there are 28-29-31-33-35-37 sts left on row. Cast off when piece measures 56-58-60-62-64-66 cm. LEFT FRONT PIECE: Like right front piece, but mirrored. SLEEVE: Cast on 64-66-66-70-70-74 sts (includes 1 edge st each side) on needle size 3.5 mm with Cotton Viscose and K 1 row from WS. Change to Kid-Silk, work 4 rows garter st and now complete piece in stocking st. AT THE SAME TIME when piece measures 7 cm inc 1 st each side, repeat the inc on every 3-3-2-2-1.5-1.5 cm a total of 8-9-12-12-15-16 times = 80-84-90-94-100-106 sts. When piece measures 33 cm cast off for sleeve cap each side at the beg of every row: 4 sts 1 time, 2 sts 3 times and 1 st 5-7-9-10-12-13 times, then cast off 2 sts each side until piece measures 41-42-43-44-45-46 cm, now cast off 4 sts each side 1 time and cast off remaining sts on next row. Piece measures approx 42-43-44-45-46-47 cm. ASSEMBLY: Sew shoulder seams. Sew side and sleeve seams inside 1 edge st. CROCHET BORDER, BODY PIECE: Crochet a border round the whole opening (i.e. from mid back down along left front piece, along bottom edge and up along right front piece to mid back) with Cotton Viscose and crochet hook size 3.5 mm as follows: * 1 dc, 1 ch, skip 1 st *, repeat from *-*, and finish with 1 sl st in first dc from beg of round. CROCHET BORDER, SLEEVE: Crochet a border round sleeve edges with Cotton Viscose and crochet hook size 3.5 mm as follows: ROUND 1: 1 dc in each st, finish with 1 sl st in first dc. ROUND 2: 1 dc in each dc, finish with 1 sl st in first dc. ROUND 3: 3 ch, 1 picot (= 3 ch, 1 dc in first ch), 1 tr in first dc from previous round, * skip 1 dc, crochet as follows in next dc: 1 tr, 1 picot and 1 tr *, repeat from *-*, and finish with skip last dc and 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round. TIE STRINGS: Work a chain of LOOSE ch with Cotton Viscose measuring approx 140-150-160-170-185-200 cm, turn and work 1 sl st in each ch on return row. Thread the tie string through casing on body piece. |
