Hello, I wonder when this pattern will be available? I have been looking much forward to it and have even ordered (and received) already the hopefully right amount of yarn to start knitting :-)

------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN: ------------------------------------------------------- PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 and A.2. INCREASE TIP (evenly spaced): To work out how to increase evenly, count the total number of stitches on the needle (e.g. 78 stitches) and divide by the number of increases to be made (e.g. 26) = 3. In this example, increase by making 1 yarn over after each 3rd stitch. On the next round knit the yarn overs twisted to avoid holes. RAGLAN: Increase 8 stitches on the round as follows: Increase 1 stitch with 1 yarn over on each side of A.2 in all transitions between body and sleeves (= 8 stitches increased). On the next round work the yarn overs twisted to avoid holes. Then work the increased stitches into pattern A.1 on the front and back pieces and in stocking stitch on the sleeves. DECREASE TIP (for mid under sleeve): Decrease 1 stitch on either side of the marker as follows: Work until there are 3 stitches left before the marker, knit 2 together, knit 2 (marker sits between these 2 stitches), slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch (= 2 stitches decreased). CASTING-OFF TIP: To avoid the cast-off edge being tight you can cast off with a larger size needle. If the edge is still tight, make 1 yarn over after approx. each 6th stitch at the same time as casting off; the yarn overs are cast off as normal stitches. ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- JUMPER – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: The neck and yoke are worked in the round with circular needle, top down from mid back. The yoke is divided for body and sleeves and the body continued in the round with circular needle. The sleeves are worked in the round with short circular needle/double pointed needles, top down. Textured pattern is worked on the front and back pieces, stocking stitch on the sleeves. NECK: Cast on 78-81-87-90-93-96 stitches with circular needle size 4 mm and forest green. Knit 1 round, then change to sage green and work rib (= knit 1, purl 2) for 8 cm. When the rib is finished, knit 1 round where you increase 26-23-27-24-31-28 stitches evenly spaced – read INCREASE TIP = 104-104-114-114-124-124 stitches. Knit 1 round. Change to circular needle size 5 mm. Insert 1 marker at the beginning of the round; the yoke is measured from this marker! YOKE: Work pattern as follows: A.1 (= 5 stitches) over the first 30-30-35-35-40-40 stitches, work the first stitch in A.1 (= back piece), 1 yarn over, A.2 over the next 7 stitches (= raglan), 1 yarn over, knit 7 (= sleeve), 1 yarn over, A.2 over the next 7 stitches (= raglan), 1 yarn over, A.1 over the next 30-30-35-35-40-40 stitches, work the first stitch in A.1 (= front piece), 1 yarn over, A.2 over the next 7 stitches (= raglan), 1 yarn over, knit 7 (= sleeve), 1 yarn over, A.2 over the next 7 stitches (= raglan), 1 yarn over. You have now increased 8 stitches to RAGLAN – read description above. Continue this pattern and increase to raglan every 2nd round a total of 18-22-22-26-27-32 times = 248-280-290-322-340-380 stitches. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! Continue working until the piece measures 19-21-23-25-28-31 cm from the marker on the neck. Now divide the yoke for the body and sleeves, starting 4 stitches before the beginning of the round: Work the first 75-83-88-96-103-113 stitches (= back piece), place the next 49-57-57-65-67-77 stitches on a thread for the sleeve and cast on 6-6-8-8-10-12 new stitches on the needle (= in side under sleeve), work the next 75-83-88-96-103-113 stitches (= front piece), place the next 49-57-57-65-67-77 stitches on a thread for the sleeve and cast on 6-6-8-8-10-12 new stitches on the needle (= in side under sleeve). Body and sleeves are finished separately. THE PIECE IS NOW MEASURED FROM HERE! BODY: = 162-178-192-208-226-250 stitches. Continue in the round with A.1 over all stitches as before; the stitches which do not fit into the pattern under the sleeve are worked in garter stitch. When the piece measures 25-25-25-25-24-23 cm from the division, knit 1 round where you increase 21-23-27-29-35-35 stitches evenly spaced = 183-201-219-237-261-285 stitches. Change to circular needle size 4 mm and work rib (= knit 1, purl 2) for 4 cm. Cast off with knit over knit and purl over purl – read CASTING-OFF TIP. The jumper measures approx. 52-54-56-58-60-62 cm from the shoulder down. SLEEVE: Place the 49-57-57-65-67-77 stitches from the thread on the one side of the piece on double pointed needles/short circular needle size 5 mm and knit up 1 stitch in each of the new stitches cast on under the sleeve = 55-63-65-73-77-89 stitches. Insert a marker thread in the middle of the new stitches. Work stocking stitch in the round. When the sleeve measures 4 cm, begin to decrease under the sleeve – read DECREASE TIP. Decrease like this every 12-4-4-2½-2-1 cm a total of 3-6-6-9-11-16 times = 49-51-53-55-55-57 stitches. Continue working until the sleeve measures 32-31-30-29-26-24 cm. Knit 1 round where you increase 5-6-7-8-8-9 stitches evenly spaced = 54-57-60-63-63-66 stitches. Work rib (= knit 1 twisted, purl 2) for 12 cm. The sleeve measures approx. 44-43-42-41-38-36 cm from the division. Cast off with knit over knit and purl over purl. Work the other sleeve in the same way. |
