I've noticed that alot of people are having the same problem with this pattern that I have. I've read the replies and found how to properly work the pattern, but it's wasted alot of time. You may consider re-writing the first row as "1 double crochet (dc) in the 3rd ch from the hook, 1 dc in each of the next 2 sts, * skip 1 ch, 1 dc in each of the next 3 sts *, repeat from * - *=" to increase clarity.

Jeg har nå heklet denne toppen ferdig, men min topp er kortere enn lengden som sto i oppskriften. I str.

Stemmer din haeklefasthed i höjden? Du skal have 11 raekker paa 10 cm. Hvis du har flere raekker bliver din top for kort. Du kan starte forfra eller pröve at haekle nedover fra bunnen med stangm, men du skal nok tage ind til din talje.

Cindy, this is how you work row 1: 1 dc in the 3rd ch from the hook, 1 dc in the next ch, 1 dc in the next ch, * skip 1 ch, 1 dc in the next ch, 1 dc in the next ch, 1 dc in the next ch*, repeat from * - * = 129-139-149-159 dc.

Hello. I'm trying to figure out how to start the pattern so that by end of row 1 I can have the correct number of dc. I've tried it 3 times and always end up with double the total it should be. What am I doing wrong. Please help and thank you.

Hi I'm trying to understand how to do the dec, when I reach the end of the row I do the dec again, my problem is, how do I do the dec to the next row? Do I, after the end dec, turn, ch eg. 6 then miss 4 and ss into 5 with a or dc into 5? I've got two chains running along alternate dc rows, is that correct? Thanks!

Hi. I think i misunderstood something, may be i had to inc 1dc on each row instead of 1 dc on each side of the row? Cause I crocheted the first row and the next 9 (for size S) but the work does not measure to 8cm, it's more like the half of it... what do i do? ignore and continue?

You more or less skip every 4th ch when working first row. That should match with 159 dc.

I'm having trouble getting the first row to match up to 159 stitches. It seems physically impossible to have 3 stitches for ~ 3/4 of the chain and end up with less stitches then original chains. The directions seem straight forward enough but the numbers just don't add up. Can you explain? Thank you!

Crochet tension: 20 tr x 11 rows on hook size 3 mm = 10 x 10 cm. Remember that hook size is only a suggestion. PATTERN: See diagram. The entire diagram is worked in all sizes. Crochet tip: Crocheting tip: When dec 4 dc: at the beginning of row, ch 6, skip the first 4 tr on row and start working in 5th tr on row, work until 4 tr remain, turn. When dec 3 dc: at the beginning of row, ch , skip the first 3 tr on row and start working in 4th tr on row, work until 3 tr remain, turn. When dec 2 dc: at the beginning of row, ch 4, skip the first 2 tr on row and start working in 3rd tr on row, work until 2 tr remain, turn. Body: Work a ch-row of 170 - 183 - 196 - 210 sts on hook size 3 mm with beige brown. On next row work tr over ch-row as follows: 3 tr (replace 1st tr with 3 ch), * skip 1 ch, 3 tr *, repeat from *-* (i.e. work 3 tr over 4 ch) until 0-1-2-0 chains remain, work 1 treble crochet in each chain = 129-139-149-159 tr. Remember crochet tension - it is important not to work too loose on a fitted and small garment as this. Then work tr over all sts while at the same time inc on both sides on every row: 1 tr in each side 8-9-10-11 times = 145-157-169-181 tr. Now piece measures approx. 7-8-9-10 cm. Then dec in both sides on every row - see Crochet tip - at the same time beg diagram - make sure that diagram is in the middle of piece - over the middle 55 tr. Dec in each side as follows: 4 tr 2-3-6-8 times, 3 tr 3-7-7-7 times, 2 tr 14-9-6-5 times, now finish piece according to diagram. After diagram piece measures approx. 30-31-32-34 cm. Assembly: Work on hook size 3 mm with beige brown 1 buttonhole loop at the top on each side on the back as follows: 1 dc, 2 ch, skip ½ cm, 1 dc. Try the top on to find out where buttons should be - 1 button on the underside of left back piece and 1 button on the over side of right back piece. Work 3 ch-string of approx. 100 cm each. Plait these tog, tie a knit in each end and thread string in the upper eyelet row. |
