Buon lavoro!

STRIPE POT HOLDER 1: Colour 1: off white Colour 2: peach Colour 3: apricot Colour 4: raspberry STRIPE POT HOLDER 2: Colour 1: off white Colour 2: light yellow Colour 3: vanilla Colour 4: strong yellow ---------------------------------------------------------- Work one pot holder in each colour combination. POT HOLDER: Pot holder consists of 2 spirals that are worked tog at the end. When piece is worked in the round, start with this technique to avoid hole in the middle (instead of ch-ring) use colour 1: Use crochet hook size 3,5 and hold the yarn end, wind the yarn one time around the index finger to make a loop. Hold the loop with left thumb and middle finger, place the yarn over left index finger. Insert hook through the loop, make a YO and pull yarn through loop, work 1 ch, then work around the loop as follows: ROUND 1: 1 dc, 1 htr, 1 tr. Insert 1 stitch marker in loop on last tr so that it does not unravel and place yarn aside. Switch to colour 2 and work as follows in loop: 1 dc, 1 htr, 1 tr. Insert 1 stitch marker in loop on last tr so that it does not unravel and place yarn aside. Switch to colour 3 and work as follows in loop: 1 dc, 1 htr, 1 tr. Insert 1 stitch marker in loop on last tr so that it does not unravel and place yarn aside. Switch to colour 4 and work as follows in loop: 1 dc, 1 htr, 1 tr. Pull the yarn end (colour 1) to tighten loop. Fasten the yarn end on the back side. REMEMBER THE CROCHET TENSION! ROUND 2: Continue with colour 4. Work 2 tr in each of the next 3 sts (= 1 dc, 1 htr + 1 tr worked with colour 1). Insert 1 stitch marker in loop on last tr so that it does not unravel and place yarn aside. Continue with colour 1. Work 2 tr in each of the next 3 sts (= 1 dc, 1 htr + 1 tr worked with colour 2). Insert 1 stitch marker in loop on last tr so that it does not unravel and place yarn aside. Continue with colour 2. Work 2 tr in each of the next 3 sts (= 1 dc, 1 htr + 1 tr worked with colour 3). Insert 1 stitch marker in loop on last tr so that it does not unravel and place yarn aside. Continue with colour 3. Work 2 tr in each of the next 3 sts (= 1 dc, 1 htr + 1 tr worked with colour 4) = 24 tr. ROUND 3: Continue with colour 3. * Work 1 tr in next tr, 2 tr in next tr *, repeat from *-* 2 more times, insert 1 stitch marker in loop on the last tr to avoid it from unravelling and place yarn aside. Continue with colour 1. * Work 1 tr in each of the next 2 tr, 2 tr in next tr *, repeat from *-* 2 more times = 48 tr. Continue as 4th round upwards, i.e. work 1 tr more between inc on every round, and change colour as before upwards. Continue until circle measures approx. 20 cm in diameter. Now finish circle as follows (this is done with every colour). Work 1 tr, 1 htr, 1 dc, 1 sl st, fasten off. SPIRAL IN ONE COLOUR: When piece is worked in the round, start with this technique to avoid hole in the middle (instead of ch-ring) use colour 3: Hold the yarn end and wind the yarn one time around the index finger to make a loop. Hold the loop with left thumb and middle finger, place the yarn over left index finger. Insert hook through the loop, make a YO and pull yarn through loop, work 1 ch, then work around the loop as follows: ROUND 1: 1 dc, 1 htr, 10 tr = 12 sts. Now continue every round without finishing, work in the round. ROUND 2: Work 2 tr in every st = 24 sts. ROUND 3: * Work 1 tr in first tr, 2 tr in next tr *, repeat from *-* 6 times = 36 sts. ROUND 4: * Work 1 tr in each of the first 2 tr, 2 tr in next tr *, repeat from *-* 6 times = 48 sts. Continue as 4th round upwards, i.e. work 1 tr more between inc on every round. ASSEMBLY: Place the WS of the multi-coloured spiral on to the RS of the single coloured spiral and crochet them tog with colour no. 3. Work 1 dc through both layers, work 25 ch (= strap), then work 1 dc in each to end of round, work 25 dc around strap and finish with 1 sl st in first dc on round. |
