Bon tricot!

I had to undo the first couple of rows of pattern as only right side was given so it was not clear what to do with some of the wrong side? Also I cannot find gauge anywhere although urged to REMEMBER GAUGE! I like the pattern and the Cloud yarn. Hope I'm doing it right...😉

Dear Mrs Waters, you will find gauge under tab "Materials" with amount of yarn and needle size, ie 10 sts x 14 rows in stocking st = 10 x 10 cm. When working from WS, work K over K and P over P, and follow WS rows in diagrams. Happy knitting!

GARTER ST (back and forth): K all rows. 1 ridge = 2 rows K. PATTERN: See diagrams A.1-A.2. The diagrams show all rows in pattern seen from RS. ---------------------------------------------------------- FRONT PIECE: Worked back and forth on circular needle. Cast on 55-59-63-67-75-81 sts on circular needle size 8 mm with 1 thread Cloud or 2 thread Air. Work 2 ridges in GARTER ST - see explanation above AT THE SAME TIME on last row inc 6 sts evenly = 61-65-69-73-81-87 sts. Switch to circular needle size 9 mm. Work as follows from RS: 3 sts in garter st, 1-3-5-7-11-14 sts in stocking st, P 1, A.2 (= 9 sts), P 4, A.1 (= 4 sts), P 4, A.2, P 4, A.1, P 4, A.2, P 1, 1-3-5-7-11-14 sts in stocking st, 3 sts in garter st. Continue pattern like this. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION When piece measures 8 cm, work the 3 sts in garter st in each side of piece in stocking st (= 4-6-8-10-14-17 sts in stocking st in each side of piece) AT THE SAME TIME cast on 1 edge st in each side of piece at the end of the next 2 rows = 63-67-71-75-83-89 sts. Work edge sts in garter st. When piece measures 40-41-42-43-44-45 cm, cast off 2-3-4-4-5-6 sts in each side of piece for armholes at beg of the next 2 rows = 59-61-63-67-73-77 sts. When piece measures 45-47-49-51-53-55 cm, adjust so a cable has just been worked and so that next row is from RS (i.e. row from RS after a cable), slip the middle 17-17-19-19-21-21 sts on a stitch holder for neck = 21-22-22-24-26-28 sts remain for shoulder. Continue with pattern as before AT THE SAME TIME cast off sts for neck on every row from neck as follows: 1 st 4 times in total = 17-18-18-20-22-24 sts. When piece measures 55-57-59-61-63-65 cm, work 1 ridge over all sts, AT THE SAME TIME dec 2 sts evenly over A.2 = 15-16-16-18-20-22 sts. Cast off. Work the other shoulder the same way. BACK PIECE: Cast on 55-59-63-67-75-81 sts on circular needle size 8 mm with 1 thread Cloud or 2 thread Air. Work 2 ridges. Switch to circular needle size 9 mm. Work in stocking st with 3 sts in garter st in each side. When piece measures 8 cm, work the 3 sts in garter st in each side of piece in stocking st AT THE SAME TIME cast on 1 edge st in each side of piece at the end of the next 2 rows = 57-61-65-69-77-83 sts. Work edge sts in garter st. When piece measures 40-41-42-43-44-45 cm, cast off 2-3-4-4-5-6 sts in each side of piece for armholes at beg of the next 2 rows = 53-55-57-61-67-71 sts. When piece measures 54-56-58-60-62-64 cm, cast off the middle 21-21-23-23-25-25 sts for neck = 16-17-17-19-21-23 sts remain for shoulder. Cast off 1 st on next row from neck = 15-16-16-18-20-22 sts. When piece measures 55-57-59-61-63-65 cm, work 1 ridge over all sts. Cast off. Work the other shoulder the same way. SLEEVE: Worked back and forth on circular needle. Cast on 24-24-24-26-26-26 sts on circular needle size 8 mm with 1 thread Cloud or 2 thread Air. Work 2 ridges. Switch to circular needle size 9 mm. Work in stocking st with 1 edge st in garter st in each side. When piece measures 9 cm, inc 1 st inside 1 edge st in each side of piece, repeat inc every 9-7-6-5½-4½-4 cm 4-5-6-6-7-8 more times = 34-36-38-40-42-44 sts. Cast off when piece measures 47-47-47-46-44-43 cm. NOTE! Shorter measurements in the larger sizes because of wider shoulders. Knit another sleeve. ASSEMBLY: Sew right shoulder seam. NECK EDGE: Worked back and forth on circular needle. Pick up 56-56-60-60-64-64 sts (incl sts on stitch holders) around the neck. Work 3 ridges AT THE SAME TIME on first row dec 2 sts over A.2 (= cable) = 54-54-58-58-62-62 sts. Cast off. ASSEMBLY: Sew left shoulder seam and neck edge. Sew in sleeves. Sew sleeve and side seams in one inside 1 edge st to where edge sts were cast on (i.e. approx. 8 cm vent). |
