Dear Mrs Frazier, work first the scarf (straight), and then the wavy edge each side (long sides), ie, first when piece measures 26 cm, then on the other side, along fundation ch. Happy crocheting!

CROCHET INFO: 1 TR-GROUP = work [1 tr, 1 ch] in 1 tr from previous row (in ch on 1st row). Beg every tr-group row with 4 ch (= 1st tr + 1st ch) and finish with 1 tr in last tr, turn piece. ---------------------------------------------------------- SCARF: Worked back and forth. Work 345 ch with BabyAlpaca Silk on hook size 3.5 mm. Work 1st row as follows: Work 1 tr-group - Read CROCHET INFO above - in 5th ch from hook. Then work as follows: * Skip 1 ch, 1 tr-group in next ch *, repeat from *-* the rest of row, finish by skipping 1 ch, 1 tr in last ch, turn = 172 tr-groups + 1 tr. Then work tr-groups back and forth until piece measures 26 cm vertically. WAVY EDGE: Then work a wavy edge as follows: ROW 1: Work 1 ch, * 1 dc in next ch-loop, 2 dc in next ch-loop *, repeat from *-*, finish with 1 dc in last tr, turn. ROW 2: Work * 1 tr-group in next dc, skip 1 dc *, repeat from *-* the rest of row, finish with 1 tr in last dc, turn. ROW 3: Work * 1 tr-group in tr in the next 2 tr-groups, then 1 tr-group in ch-loop in the 2nd tr-group * (= 1 tr-group inc in every other tr-group), repeat from *-* the rest of row, finish with 1 tr in last tr, turn. ROW 4: Work as 3RD ROW. Cut and fasten the thread. Work row 1 to 4 along the cast on edge in the other side. FLOWER: ROW 1: Work 31 ch, 1 dc in 2nd ch from hook, then 1 dc in every ch, turn. ROW 2: Work 1 tr-group in every dc, finish with 1 tr in the last dc, turn. ROW 3: Work 1 tr-group in every tr, 1 tr-group in every ch-loop, finish with 1 tr in last tr, cut and fasten the thread. Twirl the spiral into a flower and fasten it tog with a stitch. Work 2 more flowers the same way but beg with 41 and 51 ch to make make the flowers bigger. Sew the flowers on to scarf. |
