DROPS CROCHET HOOK size 3.5 mm/E/4 – or size needed to get 20 dc (10 dc-groups in width) = 10 cm / 4''.

NOTE: This pattern is written in American English. All measurements in charts are in cm. For conversion from inches to cm - click here. There are different terms for crocheting in American and British English. If this pattern includes crochet, click for "crochet terms" here. For this pattern in British English, please click here.
1 DC-GROUP = work [1 dc, 1 ch] in 1 dc from previous row (on 1st row work in ch ). Beg every dc-group row with ch 4 (= 1st dc + 1st ch) and finish with 1 dc in last dc, turn piece.

Worked back and forth.
Ch 345 with BabyAlpaca Silk on hook size 3.5 mm/US 4. Work 1st row as follows: Work 1 dc-group - Read CROCHET INFO above - in 5th ch from hook. Then work as follows: * Skip ch 1, 1 dc-group in next ch *, repeat from *-* the rest of row, finish by skipping ch 1, 1 dc in last ch, turn = 172 dc-groups + 1 dc.
Then work dc-groups back and forth until piece measures 26 cm / 10 1/4'' vertically.

Then work a wavy edge as follows:
ROW 1: ch 1, * 1 sc in next ch space, 2 sc in next ch space *, repeat from *-*, finish with 1 sc in last dc, turn.
ROW 2: Work * 1 dc-group in next sc, skip 1 sc *, repeat from *-* the rest of row, finish with 1 dc in last sc, turn.
ROW 3: Work * 1 dc-group in dc in the next 2 dc-groups, then 1 dc-group in ch space in the 2nd dc-group * (= 1 dc-group inc in every other dc-group), repeat from *-* the rest of row, finish with 1 dc in last dc, turn.
ROW 4: Work as 3rd row. Fasten off.
Work row 1 to 4 along the cast on edge in the other side.

ROW 1: ch 31, 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook, then 1 sc in every ch, turn.
ROW 2: Work 1 dc-group in every sc, finish with 1 dc in the last sc, turn.
ROW 3: Work 1 dc-group in every dc, 1 dc-group in every ch space, finish with 1 dc in last dc, fasten off.
Twirl the spiral into a flower and fasten it tog with a stitch.
Work 2 more flowers the same way but beg with ch 41 and ch 51 to make the flowers bigger. Sew the flowers on to scarf.
