I cannot figure out how many to chain in the beginning does not state in the instructions making a small medium. Is this the neck we are starting on?

Hello Momfromaz. The top is worked bottom up, in separate pieces sewn at the end. You start with the back piece and for size S you begin with 93 ch sts. Happy crocheting!

I really want to make this top for my upcoming beach vacation, but I need it in a size 2x-3x. Could you help me with the number of additional chains/stitches I would need? Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Bon crochet!

In your English instructions you do not say how many to ch for the first row, I did look at the British pattern and found how many, you might correct the English!!! My sister sent me this link to make the top for her and it's a very pretty pattern!! Thank you, Dolly
07.06.2016 - 09:13DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Dollygk, just checked both English patterns and didn't find any difference except the fan pattern located in 2 different places - could you please detail your feedback so that pattern can be checked? Thank you!

Continue with Pattern – see explanation above, until complete measurement. When piece measures 5-5-6-6 cm dec by skipping over second sts from edge on each side on every 3rd row 3 times in total = 68-76-88-100 sts. When piece measures 15-16-17-18 cm inc 1 st on each side by crocheting 2 sts in second sts from edge on each side on every other row 8-8-7-6 times on total = 84-92-102-112 sts. When piece measures 47-49-51-53 cm continue crocheting over 18-19-20-21 sts on one side for shoulder. Continuing cast off at neckline on every row: 2 sts 1 time and 1 st 2 times = 14-15-16-17 sts left in shoulder. Cut thread when piece measures 50-52-54-56 cm. Crochet other shoulder similarly. Assembly: Sew side seams in outermost edge with 1 sts in each sts. Sew shoulder seams the same way. Left front edge: Crochet approx 60-62-64-66 dc along left front piece – ensure sts are not too tight or too wavy but lying flat along edge. Now crochet 1 row tr, 1 row dc and 1 row tr. Crochet next round as follows: In first tr crochet: 1 dc, 1 picot (= 3 ch, 1 dc in first ch) and 1 dc, * skip 1 st, 1 dc in next st, skip 1 st, in next st crochet: 1 dc, 1 picot and 1 dc *, repeat from *-*.
