Bon tricot!

Jacket: Garter st (back and forth on needle): 1 ridge = 2 rows. 1st row: K, 2nd row: K. Lobster st: Crochet dc from RS in opposite direction – i.e. from left to right. Measuring tip: All lengths measured while holding the piece up, otherwise it will be too long when worn. Back piece: Cast on 90-98-104-114-124 sts with needle size 4.5 mm and 1 strand of each colour (= 2 strands). Work garter st. Remember knitting tension! When piece measures 37-38-39-40-41 cm – read Measuring tip – insert 1 marker thread in each side (mark armholes). When piece measures 54-56-58-60-62 cm cast off middle 24-24-26-26-26 sts for neck. Continue to cast off 1 st on next row, towards neck. At same time when piece measures 54-56-58-60-62 cm cast off for sloping shoulder by casting off sts from armhole and inwards towards neck. Cast off every 2nd row (i.e. at beg of each row starting at shoulder): 11-12-13-14-16 sts 2 times and 10-12-12-15-16 sts 1 time. When all sts are cast off piece measures approx. 56-58-60-62-64 cm. Left front piece: Cast on 49-53-56-61-66 sts (incl 4 band sts towards mid front) with needle size 4.5 mm and 1 strand of each colour (= 2 strands). Work garter st. When piece measures 37-38-39-40-41 cm insert 1 marker thread in side as for back piece. When piece measures 49-51-53-55-57 cm – remember Measuring tip – cast off 10-10-11-11-11 sts towards mid front for neck. Continue to cast off towards neck every 2nd row: 2 sts 2 times and 1 st 3 times = 32-36-38-43-48 sts remain on shoulder. When piece measures 54-56-58-60-62 cm cast off for sloping shoulder as for back piece. When all sts are cast off piece measures approx. 56-58-60-62-64 cm. Right front piece: Cast on 49-53-56-61-66 sts (incl 4 band st towards mid front) with needle size 4.5 mm and 1 strand of each colour (= 2 strands). Work garter st – at same time after approx. 1-3-5-1.5-3.5 cm inc 1 st towards mid front every 5-5-5-5.5-5.5 cm in total 12 times. At same time when piece measures 37-38-39-40-41 cm insert 1 marker thread in side. At same time when piece measures 54-56-58-60-62 cm dec for sloping shoulder as for left front piece. After the last st on shoulder is cast off there are 29-29-30-30-30 sts remaining and piece measures approx. 56-58-60-62-64 cm, place sts on a thread. Sleeves: Cast on 46-47-49-51-53 sts (incl 1 edge st in each side) with needle size 4.5 mm and 1 strand of each colour (= 2 strands). Work garter st. When piece measures 9 cm inc 1 st in each side every 4.5-4-3.5-3.5-3 cm in total 9-10-11-11-12 times = 64-67-71-73-77 sts. When sleeve measures 49-49-48-46-44 cm cast off all sts. Assembly: Crochet 1 row dc with hook size 4 mm and 2 strands dark grey (work from WS): At bottom of both sleeves, at top of both sleeves, on front and back pieces along both shoulders and down along armholes and sides – make sure crochet edges are even and neat. Sew sleeve seams inside 1 edge st (seam turns in towards WS). Crochet shoulders tog from RS with hook size 4 mm and 2 strands dark grey – work lobster st (see description above) with 1 lobster st in each dc from previous row (work through both layers). Crochet side seams in same way up to marker threads and crochet sleeves to body in same way. Neck: Place the 29-29-30-30-30 sts from thread on right front piece on needle size 4.5 mm, in addition knit up approx 41 - 50 sts at back of neck and around neck on left front piece with 1 strand of each colour (= 2 strands) = approx. 70 - 80 sts. Work garter st back and forth on needle. When neck measures 5 cm inc 1 st in right side of piece (seen from RS) so that inc from front piece continues up along neck. Repeat inc when neck measures 9 cm. When neck measures 10 cm loosely cast off. Crochet to finish, 1 round dc with hook size 4 mm and 2 strands dark grey along top of neck edge, down along both front pieces and round whole bottom edge, then work 1 round lobster st – see description above – with 1 lobster st in each dc from previous round. NOTE: Make sure crochet edges are even and neat. Close jacket with flower brooch – see description below. ________________________________________ Scarf: Garter st (back and forth on needle): 1 ridge = 2 rows. 1st row: K, 2nd row: K. Pattern: 1st row (=RS): * K 1, 2 YO *, repeat from *-* and finish with K 1. 2nd row (= WS): K while at the same time slipping YO sts (= lost sts). 3rd + 4th row: K. Repeat 1st to 4th row. Measuring tip: Due to Pattern, lengths should be measured when piece is held up. Scarf: Loosely cast on 20 sts on 2 needles size 5.5 mm with Vivaldi (this is done so cast on edge is elastic). Pull out 1 of needles and work 2 ridges. Continue with Pattern – see description above - until scarf measures approx. 140 cm – read Measuring tip. Work 2 ridges and loosely cast off – so that cast off edge is not tight work 1 YO after each st while casting off (YO cast off as st), piece measures approx. 142 cm. Crochet edge: Work with hook size 4 mm and Vivaldi along both ends as follows: 1st row: 1 dc in 1st st, 4 ch, 2 dtr in same st, * 1 ch, 3 dtr in next st *, repeat from *-*, turn piece. 2nd row: 5 ch, 9 dtr around 1st ch, 1 ch, * 9 dtr around next ch, 1 ch *, repeat from *-* and finish with 1 dtr in 4th ch from previous row. ________________________________________ Flower brooch: Flower: Work 4 ch with hook size 4 mm and Vivaldi and form in a ring with 1 sl st. 1st round: 1 dc around ring, * 2 ch, 1 dc around ring *, repeat from *-* in total 4 times and finish with 2 ch and 1 sl st in 1st dc from beg of round = 5 ch-spaces. 2nd round: 1 ch, continue by working as follows in each ch-space: 1 dc, 3 tr and 1 dc, finish with 1 sl st in 1st dc from beg of round. Turn piece and finish working flower from back. 3rd round: 1 ch, * Work 1 dc around dc from previous round (i.e. work on back of petals around sts from previous round, pull strand tight), 4 ch *, repeat from *-* in total 5 times and finish with 1 sl st in 1st dc from beg of round. 4th round: 1 ch, continue working as follows in each ch-space: 1 dc, 5 tr and 1 dc, finish with 1 sl st in 1st dc from beg of round. Cut and fasten strand and sew a safety pin to back of flower. |
