What does the pattern mean by 'from front piece' and 'from back piece' here? : "start at arrow and knit sts from front piece, start at arrow again and knit sts from back piece" Does it mean that colorwork pattern is not connected in the round, but disconnected where the sleeves will be later sewn into? If so, why even start the chart at different points for different sizes if front and back will be disjointed anyway? Please let me know, and thank you!

Dear Hannah, "from front piece" means "of front piece". You are working the piece in the round but you will cut for the armholes later on, so you need to adjust for the armhole stitches (which are just knitted) by working over the front piece stitches, work the armhole stitches and working over the back piece stitches, starting the pattern in the indicated point. That way, the pattern should look as continuous as possible, while accounting for the armhole stitches, which are not worked in the pattern. The arrow is different for each size since it's taking into account where you should have finished the chart in the front/back piece. Happy knitting!
