What length circular needle should I use to make a size 9/10?

Dear Sonja, you can use either a 60 cm or a 80 cm long circular needle in this size, you will work body back and forth on needle on circular needle. Happy knitting!

I'm making this cardigan for my niece and have found the instructions fairly clear. However, I'm now at sleeve stage and realise that 'reverse stocking stitch' was only intended for bottom of cardigan not the whole body of cardigan. I can't visualise the finished item - would you do sleeves in 'reverse stocking stitch' too or would the contrast look ok or worst scenario, should I do body part again. Could you also explain edge st. Thanks. Kind regards Bee

Dear Mrs Jolly, you could work sleeve to the end and then decide before assembly how you rather want to sew them ? Edge sts are used for sewing afterwards. Happy knitting!

Then cast off 1 st for the neck at mid front on every other row as follows: 5 times = 16-16-17-17-17 sts left for each shoulder. Cast off when the piece measures 40-43-46-49-52 cm. Left front: Knit as right front piece but reverse. Do not cast off for button holes. Sleeve: Cast on 47-52-52-57-57 sts (incl. 1 edge st each side) on needles size 3.5 mm with Muskat soft. Purl 1 row from the WS. Continue in rib – P3, K2 – with 1 edge st each side. Continue the rib until the work measures 7 cm. Change to needle size 4 mm and knit in stocking sts until finish. When the piece measures 8 cm inc. 1 st each side on every 2.5-3.5-3-4-3.5 cm a total of 9-8-10-9-10 times = 65-68-72-75-77 sts. When the piece measures 34-37-40-43-45 cm cast off for the sleeve cap each side on every other row as follows: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 3 times and 1 st 0-1-2-3-5 times. Assembly: Sew the shoulder seams. Pick up 66-71-76-81-86 sts ( incl. the sts from the thread) with Muskat Soft on needles size 3.5 mm around the neck and knit the next row as follows seen from the RS: 7 garter sts, *P2, K3*, repeat from *-* and finish with P2 and 7 garter sts. Continue the Rib, at the same time cast off for button holes – see explanation above – on the right front band when the neck edge measures 1 cm. Cast off when the neck edge measures 2 cm.
