Fins det andre fargekombinasjoner? F.eks blått, grått eller noe annet. Trives ikke med brunt/beige

------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN: ------------------------------------------------------- RIDGE/GARTER STITCH (worked back and forth): Knit all rows. 1 ridge in height = Knit 2 rows. PATTERN: See diagram A.1 (choose diagram for your size). The diagram shows all rows in the pattern seen from the right side. STRIPES: STRIPE 1: 13-13-14-14-15-15 cm (+ 3 cm of rib) with 1 strand grey + 1 strand rust (= 2 strands). STRIPE 2: 13-13-14-14-15-15 cm with 1 strand ash grey + 1 strand rust (= 2 strands). STRIPE 3: 13-13-14-14-15-15 cm with 1 strand ash grey + 1 strand mauve (= 2 strands). STRIPE 4: Then work with 1 strand grey + 1 strand dark purple (= 2 strands) to finished length. INCREASE TIP-1 (evenly spaced): To work out how to increase evenly, count the total number of stitches on the needle (e.g. 90 stitches) minus bands (e.g. 8 stitches) and divide the remaining stitches by the number of increases to be made (e.g. 2) = 41. In this example, increase by making 1 yarn over after each 41st stitch. Do not increase on bands. On the next row purl the yarn overs twisted to avoid holes. INCREASE TIP-2 (for sides of body): All increases are worked from the right side! Work until there are 2 stitches left before the marker thread, 1 yarn over, knit 4 (marker thread sits in the middle of these 4 stitches), 1 yarn over. On the next row purl the yarn overs twisted to avoid holes. Then work the new stitches in stocking stitch. DECREASE TIP-1 (for sleeves): Decrease 1 stitch on each side of the marker thread as follows: Work until there are 3 stitches left before the marker thread, knit 2 together, knit 2 (marker thread sits between these 2 stitches), slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch. DECREASE TIP-2 (evenly spaced): To work out how to decrease evenly, count the total number of stitches on needle (e.g. 51 stitches) and divide by the number of decreases to be made (e.g. 11) = 4.6. In this example decrease by knitting alternatively each 3rd and 4th and each 4th and 5th stitch together. BUTTONHOLES: Work buttonholes on the right band (when the garment is worn). Work from the right side when there are 3 stitches left on the row as follows: Make 1 yarn over, knit 2 together and knit 1. On the next row knit the yarn over to leave a hole. The first buttonhole is worked when the rib on the neck measures approx. 1½-2 cm. Then work the other 5-5-5-6-6-6 buttonholes with approx. 9½-10-10-9-9-9½ cm between each one. ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- JACKET – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: The piece is worked back and forth with circular needle, top down. The sleeves are worked in the round with double pointed needles/short circular needle. NECK: Cast on 86-90-94-98-102-106 stitches with circular needle size 4 mm and 1 strand grey + 1 strand rust (= 2 strands). Purl 1 row from the wrong side. Then work rib from the right side as follows: Work 4 band stitches in GARTER STITCH – read description above, rib (knit 2 / purl 2) until there are 6 stitches left on the row, knit 2 and finish with 4 band stitches in garter stitch. Continue this rib back and forth until the piece measures 3 cm – adjust so the next row is worked from the right side. REMEMBER THE BUTTONHOLE on the right band! Knit 1 row where you increase 0-2-4-6-8-10 stitches evenly spaced – read INCREASE TIP-1 = 86-92-98-104-110-116 stitches. Purl 1 row from the wrong side (knit the 4 band stitches in each side). Insert a marker thread on the last row inside the band stitches on the one side of the piece. THE PIECE IS NOW MEASURED FROM HERE. YOKE: Change to circular needle size 5 mm and work STRIPES (read description above) and pattern as follows: 4 band stitches in garter stitch, A.1 a total of 13-14-15-16-17-18 repeats in width and 4 band stitches in garter stitch. Continue like this back and forth. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When A.1 has been completed in height there are 255-274-293-312-331-350 stitches on the needle. Continue with stocking stitch and stripes. When the piece measures 20-22-24-26-28-30 cm, increase 7-9-9-14-14-23 stitches evenly spaced = 262-283-302-326-345-373 stitches. Continue working until the piece measures 21-23-25-27-29-31 cm from the marker thread and down along the band. The next row from the wrong side is worked as follows: Work the first 40-43-46-50-54-59 stitches (= right front piece), place the next 55-59-63-67-68-72 stitches on 1 thread for sleeve and cast on 6-6-8-8-10-10 new stitches on the needle (= in side under sleeve), work the next 72-79-84-92-101-111 stitches (= back piece), place the next 55-59-63-67-68-72 stitches on 1 thread for sleeve and cast on 6-6-8-8-10-10 new stitches on the needle (= in side under sleeve), work the remaining 40-43-46-50-54-59 stitches (= left front piece). Body and sleeves are finished separately. THE PIECE IS NOW MEASURED FROM HERE. BODY: There are 164-177-192-208-229-249 stitches on the body. Insert a marker thread in each side in the middle of the new stitches cast on under each sleeve (= 3-3-4-4-5-5 new stitches on each side of each marker thread). Continue back and forth with stocking stitch, 4 band stitches in garter stitch on each side and stripes as before. When the piece measures 4 cm, increase 1 stitch on each side of both marker threads – read INCREASE TIP-2. Repeat the increase when the piece measures 14 cm = 172-185-200-216-237-257 stitches. When the piece measures 26 cm increase 34-37-42-42-45-49 stitches evenly spaced = 206-222-242-258-282-306 stitches. Change to circular needle size 4 mm and work rib from the right side as follows: 4 band stitches in garter stitch, rib (knit 2 / purl 2) until there are 6 stitches left on the row, knit 2 and 4 band stitches in garter stitch. When the rib measures 4 cm, cast off with knit over knit and purl over purl. The jacket measures approx. 54-56-58-60-62-64 cm from the shoulder down. SLEEVE: The sleeve is worked in stocking stitch and continue with STRIPES; i.e. each stripe is 13-13-14-14-15-15 cm and the final stripe is worked to finished length. Place the 55-59-63-67-68-72 stitches from the thread on the one side of the piece on short circular needle/double pointed needles size 5 mm and knit up 1 stitch in each of the 6-6-8-8-10-10 stitches cast on under the sleeve = 61-65-71-75-78-82 stitches. Insert a marker thread in the middle of the new stitches (= 3-3-4-4-5-5 new stitches on each side of the marker thread). When the piece measures 4 cm decrease 1 stitch on each side of the marker thread – read DECREASE TIP-1. Decrease like this every 3-2-2-1½-1½-1 cm a total of 6-7-9-10-11-12 times = 49-51-53-55-56-58 stitches. Continue until the piece measures 39-38-36-35-33-32 cm. Knit 1 round where you decrease 9-11-9-11-8-10 stitches evenly spaced – read DECREASE TIP-2 = 40-40-44-44-48-48 stitches. Change to double pointed needles size 4 mm and work rib (knit 2 / purl 2) for 4 cm. Cast off with knit over knit and purl over purl. The sleeve measures approx. 43-42-40-39-37-36 cm. Work the other sleeve in the same way. ASSEMBLY: Sew buttons onto left band. |
