Hur gör man egentligen?

How do you end the scarf with the cable looking the same at the end as the beginning?

If one were to knit the hat in the round rather than flat and then seaming up, what would the english rib pattern be? I'm having problems understanding the rib pattern as it is written. Also after completing the K1P1 rib for the brim of the hat, dont you need to increase for the main body of the hat. I cant seem to find this in the pattern. Thanks so much for creating such beautiful patterns and your patience! All of your patterns are so gorgeous!
