Bon crochet!

I have some more questions regarding the increasing - I am doing the XXL size (202 stitches to begin the increase): -Should the markers be placed in the 5th row and then the increase starts in the 6th (the DC) row? - When replacing the markers where should they be after the first increase? - When it says the increase should be before or after the marker alternately, which stitch should the marker be in for each DC row? Thanks for your help!
14.01.2018 - 03:34DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Hammond, after the fist 5 rows insert markers without working, then start increasing on next row. On first increase row increase after each marker, on next increase row increase before each marker and repeat these increase every 2 rows alternately after and before each marker. Happy crocheting!

DROPS Design 16.01.2017 kl. 08:56: I have two questions: 1. I still don't understand your answer to Heather's question. The direction that says" 1 dc in each of the next ch" doesn't make sense to 2. I don't understand the Gauge instructions that read - "size 4mm/G/6 - or size need to get 1 square = 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 and 18 sts x 12 rows in pattern = 4x4. Please provide some clarification.
31.12.2017 - 05:42DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs L. Rickert, the fundation chain will have much more chains that you will need sc (US-English terminology) for 1st row to avoid the first row being too tight, you will then skip chains evenly as given for your size so that you get the correct number of sts and width. To check your tension, work a swatch in pattern (row 1: dc, row 2: sc) over 18 sts and 12 rows = 4"x4". One square should measure 3½” x 3½”. Happy Crocheting!

Hello! With Row 1 of the pattern, does the chain 3 count as a post or is it just a turning chain? Thank you Sara Jane
28.12.2017 - 14:48DROPS Design answered:
Dear Sara Jane, it counts as a "post" or a treble, the first one in the pattern (elswhere you will have thre treble there, at the first thime it is 3 chain stitch and 2 treble). Happy Crocheting!
