Knitted slippers and how to sew up the slippers in 150-4

In this DROPS video we show how to knit and sew up one of our popular slippers. We have already cast on 36 sts and worked garter stitch until piece measures 4 cm. REMEMBER - very important - you will need to read the pattern to be able to follow. If you just want to see how to sew up the slippers, you can fast forward to 12:30. DROPS Design :

Bonjour Mme Diane Blais, le point mousse se tricote tous les rangs à l'endroit quand on tricote en allers et retours (comme pour le dessus du pied par ex), mais quand on le tricote en rond sur 4 aiguilles (début et fin du chausson), on alterne 1 tour end, 1 tour env - voir aussi ici. Bon tricot!

DROPS Design :

Bonjour Dianeblais, 1 côte mousse en allers retours = 2 rangs endroit. Au début de la bordure, tricotez 1 rang end sur l'endroit, puis 1 rang end sur l'envers en répartissant 6 augmentations sur ce rang (vous avez 28 m), et continuez ensuite en suivant le diagramme. Bonjour Mme Faucher, la bordure du tour de la jambe se tricote en allers et retours, on augmente 6 m au 2ème rang (sur l'envers) et on tricote en suivant le diagramme jusqu'à la hauteur indiquée en diminuant 6 m au dernier rang tricoté en A.1 et on termine par 2 rangs point mousse avant de rabattre. Bon tricot!

Dear Mrs Mcnamara, our video starts after we have cast on 36 sts and worked in garter stitch until piece measures 4 cm, the first 9 sts are kept on needle and the other sts are put onto a thread. We then start work middle part. In this DROPS video, we show you how to knit a sock with a gusset heel - arguably the most common method for working a heel. To begin, the stitches on top of the foot are placed on a thread, while the stitches at the back are kept on the needles and the heel is worked as follows: 1) The heel is first worked in height, back and forth across the heel-stitches. 2) Next, the bottom of the heel is worked to the required width and length by working short rows and decreasing stitches. 3) Once this step is completed, continue knitting in the round across all stitches, knitting up stitches on both sides of the heel (along the length). 4) The width and shape of the foot is worked by decreasing stitches on both sides, forming a small gusset heel – that is why this type of heel is known as a gusset heel.

How to work an angular heel

In this DROPS video we show how to start a sock with a flounce, like the “Dainty Duo” socks in DROPS 229-19. We cast on with 2 strands, but continue with 1 strand. Then we knit 4 rounds and on the next round we knit all stitches together 2 by 2. Then we work a rib (knit 1 twisted/purl 1). How to work after charts to the socks in DROPS 229-20

In this DROPS video we show how we work after chart A.1 (flounces) and A.2 (lace pattern) to the “Kissing Kate” socks in DROPS 229-20. We show the beginning and end after chart A.1, and in chart A.2 we show round 3, 4, 9 and 10. We use less stitches than it says in the pattern. How to work the slippers in DROPS 203-37

In this DROPS video we show how to work the “Carrot Squash” slippers in DROPS 203-37. We have already cast on stitches for size 35/37 = US 4.5/6.5 and start the video by showing round 1 (only Knit). Then the rib, K1, P1. After the rib put 31 stitches on a stitch holder, work the other stitches back and forth. Then work these stitches, the new pickup stitches along the sides and the stitches from the stitch holder, and work around again. Decrease stitches and work around to finish measurement, bind off and fold the slipper and sew under foot in the outermost loop of the outermost stitch. These slippers are worked in DROPS Snow, the same yarn we use in the video. You must read the pattern to be able to follow this video properly.
