In this DROPS video, we show you how to bind off with picot = 3 increased stitches with 3 bind-off stitches between each picot.
BEFORE STARTING THE VIDEO: We have already worked a few cms = about an inch of stockinette stitch. The binding off is divisible by 5 + 2 stitches.
THE VIDEO SHOWS:
Knit 2, pass the back stitch on the right needle over the front stitch (= 1 decreased stitch), knit 1, pass the back stitch on the right needle over the front stitch (= 1 decreased stitch). * Increase for picot: Insert the right needle between the 1st and 2nd stitch on the left needle, make 1 yarn over the right needle, pull the yarn over through the 1st and 2nd stitch, then place it on the left needle = 1 new stitch. Repeat this 2 more times = 3 new stitches. Then bind off as follows: Knit 1, pass the back stitch on the right needle over the front stitch (= 1 bind off stitch), repeat until 7 stitches have been bind off = 1 picot *.
Repeat from *-* until all stitches have been bind off.
