How to crochet the Alpaca in DROPS Extra 0-1465

In this DROPS video we show how to crochet the Alpaca in DROPS Extra 0-1465. The piece is worked in the round from the top of the head and down, then the body, tail and 2 legs. The Alpaca is filled with wadding and sewn together under the body. The top of the head is crocheted together at the same time the 2 ears are worked. Finish with the blanket. This Alpaca is crocheted in DROPS Lima, but in the video we work with a thicker yarn; DROPS Snow. You must read the pattern to be able to follow this video properly. I usually LOVE drops patterns, and I’m a very experienced knitter/crocheter...BUT...This picture looks like single crochet, however the instructions are for double crochet, which is way too big to be an ornament. Also, the neck comes out too long and the body too fat and square. Now that I can see how this is developing, I’m going to have to modify it, disappointing. Go Greta!

Dear Mrs Shamel, crochet terminology is different in UK-English and in US-English, when you choose a crochet pattern, remember to check and edit the language under photo/video when required. Happy crocheting!
