In this DROPS video we show you how to cast on using a crochet hook and a knitting needle to get a nice edge. Make a start loop with the crochet hook, place the crochet hook and knitting needle next to each other. * Put the thread behind the knitting needle, get the thread on front with the crochet hook and pull it through the loop on the crochet hook *. Repeat * - * to the desired stitch numbers - 1. Put the thread behind the knitting needle and put the stitch on the crochet hook to the knitting needle. Now work stockinette st. The yarn we use in the video is DROPS Snow.

In this DROPS video, we show you how to work each front piece with diagonal shoulders and short rows, the piece is worked bottom up. Then we show how to increase stitches for the neckline and join the shoulders for the back piece, then continue working top down. An I-cord band is worked on each side. We have already worked one section of the front piece and decreased stitches for the neckline. Then we show how to increase 1 stitch 3 times towards the neckline, which is now the back piece. Then we show the same for the left shoulder and finally cast on 12 stitches between the shoulders before the shoulders are knitted together. We use the yarn DROPS Snow in the video. This technique is used among other things in pattern DROPS 255-9, Driftwood Vest, with a different stitch count, number of short rows and cast-on stitches. In this DROPS video we show how you can cast on with two circular needles. We sometimes recommend this in our patterns to prevent the cast on edge being too tight. When you have cast on the required number of stitches, you pull out one circular needle and start to knit.
