How to knit a heel to a sock with diagonal shaping

Keywords: heel, socks,

In his DROPS video we show how you can shape your heel diagonally on a knitted sock. We show the beginning and end of 1st to 4th row, so we skip until we have 8 stitches at the center of the needle and 6 stitches in each side. Put 1 mark. Now work 1 stitch more for each row over the heel. To avoid holes in the transitions, pick up the thread before the stitches that are knit up and turn twisted on the needle. Knit the thread together with the next stitch. Continue like this until all stitches on the heel is knitted. Then knit all over the stitches. You must read the pattern to be able to follow this video properly. You’ll find patterns with this technique by clicking on the pictures below. In the video we use the yarn DROPS Snow.

The video above can be used in the following patterns

Looking for a video after the heel showing decreases before and after the marker. Is this done only on one side? There’s only one marker.

DROPS Design answered:

Dear Mrs Sartorio, this video shows (for a baby sock pattern) how to decrease after 1st marker (= time code 22:07, just before the sts for upper foot) and after 2nd marker (= time code 23:00, just after the sts for upper foot). Hope this will help, happy knitting!

Warum so umständlich ? ≥ Falsche Bumerangferse: Am Ende jeder Reihe 2 Maschen zusammen stricken. Um dann in den Knötchen diese Maschen wieder aufnehmen. Ganz einfach . Die Linken Maschen kann man auch viel einfacher stricken.
