Pattern instructions

NOTE: This pattern is written in American English. All measurements in charts are in cm. For conversion from inches to cm - click here. There are different terms for crocheting in American and British English. If this pattern includes crochet, click for "crochet terms" here. For this pattern in British English, please click here.
See diagrams A.1 and A.2. Diagrams show colors in pattern. 1 square = 1 half treble.

COLOR PATTERN (worked in the round):
When changing color work as follows: Work last half treble with first color but wait with last pull through, switch to next color and work last pull through, then work next half treble. When working with two colors place strand for the color not worked over stitches from previous round, work around the strand so that it is hidden and is always where it should be used.

Replace first half double crochet on round with 2 chain stitches, finish round with 1 slip stitch in second chain stitch.

Piece is worked in the round with half double crochet. First work the bottom with pattern A.1 and increases. Then work A.2 upwards without increases. At the top work an eyelet row for ties.

Work 5 chain stitches with raspberry on hook size 3.5 mm/E/4 and form a ring with 1 slip stitch in first chain stitch. Then work in the round according to diagram A.1 (work 9 repetitions of A.1 in width) - READ COLOR PATTERN.
ROUND 1: Work 9 half double crochet around ring – READ CROCHET INFO!
ROUND 2: Work 2 half double crochet in every half double crochet = 18 half double crochet.
ROUND 3: Work * 1 half double crochet in first half double crochet , 2 half double crochet in next half double crochet *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 27 half double crochet.
ROUND 4: Work * 1 half double crochet in each of the 2 first half double crochet, 2 half double crochet in next half double crochet *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 36 half double crochet. REMEMBER THE CROCHET GAUGE!
ROUNDS 5-13: Continue with increases and pattern as before, i.e. on every round work 1 more half double crochet between increases = 117 half double crochet. Increase 9 half double crochet on every round.

ROUND 14: Work in the round according to A.2, but on first round increase 3 stitches evenly (= 10 repetitions in width) = 120 half double crochet. Work A.2 1 time vertically, on round with arrow work as follows: Work 3 chain stitches, * 1 chain stitch, skip 1 half double crochet, 1 double crochet in next half double crochet *, repeat from *-* and finish with 1 slip stitch in third chain stitch at beginning of round. On next round work 1 half double crochet in every double crochet and every chain stitch. Finish A.2. Fasten off.

Cut 6 lengths of each color of 120 cm / 47 1/4'' = 36 strands. Place the strands together and tie a loose knot, leave approx. 12 cm / 4¾'' after knot. Distribute strands in 3 equal parts with 12 strands in each part. Plait the three parts together until plait measures approx. 68 cm / 26 3/4''. Divide strands into 2 parts. Thread the 2 halves through bag, 1 double crochet apart, in fourth round from edge. Tie them together in a knot on the outside of bag. Take the knot at beg of plait and fasten the end to bag the same way but in the opposite side. Make another plait the same way - see photo.

DROPS Design 22.04.2017 kl. 00:11:

Buonasera Paola. Abbiamo corretto il testo. Si devono aumentare 3 maglie. La ringraziamo per la segnalazione. Buon lavoro!
