KNITTING TIP:
Cast on and bind off with 3 strands Alpaca Bouclé to avoid tight edges.

PATTERN:
Row 1: K all sts.
Row 2: *K 1, 2 YO*, repeat from *-*.
Row 3: *K 1, slip the 2 YOs off the needle (= dropped st)*, repeat from *-*.
Row 4: K all sts.
Repeat row 1 to 4.
---------------------------------------------------------

PONCHO:
The piece is worked back and forth on circular needle because of the no of sts. Work the piece sideways. Cast on 153 sts on 2 circular needles size 5 mm / US 8 with 3 strands Alpaca Bouclé - see KNITTING TIP above.
Pull out one circular needle, remove 2 strands and work PATTERN with 1 strand - see explanation above - until piece measures approx. 34 cm / 13½'' (finish after 3rd row in pattern). REMEMBER THE GAUGE!
Now LOOSELY bind off for neck with 3 strands Alpaca Bouclé as follows: Work 58 sts, bind off 37 sts with 3 strands , remove 2 strands and work the remaining 58 sts with 1 strand.
On next row cast on 37 new sts over the bound off sts with 3 strands. Then work pattern with 1 strand until piece measures 68 cm / 26 3/4'' from cast on edge.
LOOSELY bind off with 3 strands Alpaca Bouclé to avoid a tight edge.

ASSEMBLY:
Fold the piece double according to markings on chart (folding line = shoulder). Sew a little stitch in each side through both layers, approx. 25-30 cm / 9 3/4"-11 3/4" from shoulder (defines the armhole).

FRINGES:
Fasten 3 fringes in every other row with eyelet holes along the short side of poncho as follows: Cut 1 strand Eskimo of 35 cm / 14'' and 2 strands Alpaca Bouclé of 35 cm / 14'', fold them double and pull loop through outermost st, pull the ends through the loop.

DROPS Design 19.02.2015 kl. 17:52:

Frędzle są z przodu i z tyłu. Szew nie może być zbyt ścisły, wtedy nie ściągnie robótki. Po zakończeniu proszę o komentarz do wzoru. Mam nadzieję, że rezultat będzie jak należy. POWODZENIA!

Could someone translate this pattern to polish?

Elisabet Nenningsland 16.06.2013 - 19:18:

Jeg skal prøve meg på denne, men dropper frynsene. Synes de så litt rare ut.. Men ponchoen er sikkert herlig :)
