JACKET:
Worked back and forth on circular needle from mid front. Cast on 106-118-126-134-150-162 sts on circular needle size 8 mm with Ice. K 2 rows. Insert 2 markers in piece, 29-32-34-36-40-43 sts in from each side (back piece = 48-54-58-62-70-76 sts). Continue as follows: 5 garter sts – see above (= front band), stocking st until 5 sts remain, 5 garter sts (= front band). Work front bands in garter st throughout. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! AT THE SAME TIME when piece measures 8-10-8-10-6-8 cm make BUTTONHOLE on right front band – see above. AT THE SAME TIME when piece measures 10 cm dec 1 st on each side of both markers and repeat the dec when piece measures 30-31-32-33-34-35 cm = 98-110-118-126-142-154 sts. When piece measures 37-38-39-40-41-42 cm cast off 4-6-6-6-6-6 sts each side for armhole (= 2-3-3-3-3-3 sts on each side of marker) and now complete each piece separately.

BACK PIECE:
= 40-44-48-52-60-66 sts. Cast off for armhole each side at the beg of every row: 2 sts 0-0-1-1-3-3 times and 1 st 0-1-1-2-2-4 times = 40-42-42-44-44-46 sts. When piece measures 54-56-58-60-62-64 cm cast off the middle 16-16-16-18-18-18 sts for neck and complete each shoulder separately. Cast off 1 st on neckline on next row = 11-12-12-12-12-13 sts left on shoulder. Cast off when piece measures 56-58-60-62-64-66 cm.

LEFT FRONT PIECE:
= 25-27-29-31-35-38 sts. Cast off for armhole at the side as described for back piece. AT THE SAME TIME when piece measures 42-44-45-47-48-50 cm cast off 8-8-8-9-9-9 sts towards mid front for neck and cast off to shape the neckline at the beg of every row from mid front: 2 sts 2 times, and then on every other row from mid front: 1 st 2 times = 11-12-12-12-12-13 sts left on shoulder. Cast off when piece measures 56-58-60-62-64-66 cm.

RIGHT FRONT PIECE:
Like left front piece, but mirrored. Remember BUTTONHOLES!

3/4 SLEEVES:
(For Long sleeves, see below).
Worked in the round on double pointed needles. Cast on 28-30-30-32-32-34 sts on double pointed needles size 8 mm with Ice. K 1 round and P 1 round. Insert a marker at beg of round (= mid under arm) and continue in stocking st. When piece measures 4 cm inc 1 st on each side of marker and repeat the inc on every 8-8-4-4-3-3 cm a total of 4-4-6-6-8-8 times = 36-38-42-44-48-50 sts. When piece measures 33-32-31-31-29-28 cm – less for the larger sizes because of longer sleeve cap and wider shoulder – cast off 6 sts mid under arm (3 sts on each side of marker) and complete piece back and forth on needle. Cast off to shape the sleeve cap each side at the beg of every row: 2 sts 1 time, 1 st 1-2-3-3-5-6 times, then 2 sts each side until piece measures 39-39-40-40-41-41 cm, now cast off 3 sts each side 1 time and cast off remaining sts. Piece measures approx 40-40-41-41-42-42 cm.

LONG SLEEVES:
(For 3/4 sleeves, see above).
Worked in the round on double pointed needles. Cast on 26-26-28-30-30-32 sts on double pointed needles size 8 mm with Ice. K 1 round and P 1 round. Insert a marker at beg of round (= mid under arm) and continue in stocking st. When piece measures 4 cm inc 1 st on each side of marker and repeat the inc on every 10-8-6-6-4.5-4.5 cm a total of 5-6-7-7-9-9 times = 36-38-42-44-48-50 sts. When piece measures 49-48-47-47-45-44 cm – less for the larger sizes because of longer sleeve cap and wider shoulder – cast off 6 sts mid under arm (3 sts on each side of marker) and complete piece back and forth on needle. Cast off to shape the sleeve cap each side at the beg of every row: 2 sts 1 time, 1 st 1-2-3-3-5-6 times, then 2 sts each side until piece measures 55-55-56-56-57-57 cm, now cast off 3 sts each side 1 time and cast off remaining sts. Piece measures approx 56-56-57-57-58-58 cm.

NECKLINE:
Crochet a border round neckline with crochet hook size 8 mm and Ice as follows: *1 dc, 1 ch, skip approx 1 cm *, repeat from *-*, and finish with 1 dc.
