Pattern instructions

Pattern: See diagram. The diagram shows the pattern from the RS side.
Rib: *K1 into back of loop, P1*, repeat from *-*.

Body: The jumper is worked in the round on circular needle. Cast on 220 sts on circular needle size 2.5 mm with white and work 5 cm rib. Change to circular needle size 3 mm and continue in M.1, at the same time inc 68 sts evenly on first round = 288 sts. After M.1 continue in M.2. Remember the knitting tension. When piece measures 32 cm divide the piece in two and complete front and back pieces separately.
Front piece: = 144 sts. When piece measures 48 cm cast off the middle 28 sts for neck and complete each side separately. Cast off to shape the neckline on every other row: 4 sts 2 times, 3 sts 2 times, 2 sts 3 times, 1 st 6 times, and then 1 st 3 times on every 4th row. Cast off remaining sts on shoulder when piece measures 62 cm.
Back piece: =144 sts. Like front piece. Sleeve: Cast on 50 sts on double pointed needles size 2.5 mm with white and work 5 cm rib. Change to double pointed needles size 3 mm and continue in M.3, but work the diagram from top down, at the same time inc 15 sts evenly on first round = 65 sts. After M.3 cm work 2 rounds white, P 1 round and now complete piece in M.2. At the same time after the rib inc 2 sts mid under arm a total of 40 times on every *3rd and 4th round* alternately = 145 sts – incorporate the inc sts in pattern as you go along. Cast off when piece measures 48 cm.
Assembly: Sew the shoulder seams. Pick up approx 192 sts round the neck on needle size 3 mm with white and work M.3, K 1 round white, change to needle size 2.5 mm and work 3 cm rib, cast off. Set in sleeves.
