Very confusing that pattern states repeat from *-* 1 times in total as one should not repeat at all. If done just the once (for size medium) it all makes sense. Please tell Wilma that as she struggled with this. The phrase 'repeat' is very misleading for smaller sizes.

Ska det stickas 2 aviga även på de varv som är mellan mönstervarven. Saknar det i texten. Hälsningar Kristina

Jo du ska sticka 2 aviga maskor mellan mönstret på varje varv.

On sleeve edge is the cast off at the beginning of last row or the middle of last row. Forgive my ignorance but I am not used to knitting in the round but am keen to learn as I hate seaming!!
23.07.2016 - 11:05DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Hart, you can either cast off the last 3 sts on round + the first 3 sts on round, or cast off the first 3 sts at beg of round, K to the last 3 sts and cast off these 3 sts. Happy knitting!

Hoi Wilma.

What are the finished bust measurements for each size?
26.01.2016 - 00:12DROPS Design answered:
Dear Elaine, you will find at the bottom of the pattern a measurement chart with all measurements for each size in cm (convert here in cm) into inch). Compare these to a similar garment you have and like the shape to find out the matching size. Happy knitting!

GARTER ST (worked in the round): 1 ridge = 2 rounds. * K 1 round and P 1 round *, repeat from *-*. PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 and A.2. DECREASE TIP: Dec as follows: Beg 3 sts before st with marker: K 2 tog, K 2 (marker is between these sts), slip 1 st as if to K, K 1, psso. KNITTING TIP: If knitting tension is incorrect in height and the knitting is too tight, the raglan dec will be too short and the armholes too small. This can be adjusted by working 1 extra round without dec evenly spaced between dec. -------------------------------------------------------- TOP: Worked in the round. Cast on 146-162-174-190-210-230 sts on circular needle size 5 mm. Work 2 ridges in GARTER ST - see explanation above. Then work as follows from the side: 21-25-28-32-30-35 sts in stocking st, * P 2, A.1 ( = 5 sts) *, repeat from *-* 1-1-1-1-2-2 times in total, P 2, A.2 (= 13 sts), P 2, *A.1, P 2,* repeat from *-* 1-1-1-1-2-2 times in total, 42-50-56-64-60-70 sts in stocking st, * P 2, A.1*, repeat from *-* 1-1-1-1-2-2 times in total, P 2, A.2 (= 13 sts), P 2, *A.1, P 2,* repeat from *-* 1-1-1-1-2-2 times in total, 21-25-28-32-30-35 sts in stocking st. Insert 2 markers in the piece; 1 at the beg of round and one after 73-81-87-95-105-115 sts. Continue pattern like this. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION When piece measures 5 cm, dec 1 st on each side of markers, repeat dec every 3 cm 4 more times - READ DECREASE TIP = 126-142-154-170-190-210 sts. When piece measures 21 cm, inc 1 st on each side of markers, repeat inc every 6-6-7-7-8-8 cm 2 more times = 138-154-166-182-202-222 sts. When piece measures 36-37-38-39-40-41 cm, cast off 6 sts in each side (= 3 sts on each side of marker in each side), work the remaining sts as before = 126-142-154-170-190-210 sts. SLEEVE EDGE: Cast on 52-56-60-62-66-70 sts on double pointed needles size 5 mm with Paris. Work 2 ridges, then work in stocking st until piece measures 3 cm. Now cast off 6 sts mid under sleeve = 46-50-54-56-60-64 sts. Knit another sleeve edge the same way. YOKE: Slip sleeves on to same circular needle as body where armholes were cast off (without working them first) = 218-242-262-282-310-338 sts. Insert 1 marker in every transition between sleeves and body = 4 markers. Continue in stocking st and with pattern as before while at the same time on next round dec for raglan in each of the 4 transitions between body and sleeves (i.e. 8 dec per dec-round) - READ DECREASE TIP AND KNITTING TIP! Dec every other round 16-16-16-17-18-18 times, then every round 0-2-4-4-5-7 times. After all dec, 90-98-102-114-126-138 sts remain on needle. Work 2 ridges while AT THE SAME TIME on 1st round dec 6-11-12-22-31-40 sts evenly = 84-87-90-92-95-98 sts. Cast off. ASSEMBLY: Sew the openings under the sleeves. |
