It's me again. Thank you for your response to my question. The question I have now is after I cast on 66 stitches for the armhole, do I connect it to the 6 stitches I cast off? Thank you in advance.
14.02.2020 - 08:07DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Bell, after you have cast on 66 sts you work 2 ridges then continue in stocking stitch until piece measures 3 cm - then cast off 6 sts mid under sleeve and put aside. When working yoke you will then place the sleeve stitches over the cast off stitches for armholes (the 6 sts cast off on sleeve will be towards the 6 sts cast off on body) - see also the video. Happy knitting!

I love this pattern! I also love the name because Charlotte is my late mother's name. My question is, do I carry the Purl stitch on the knit rows between the pattern? Thank you for your time on this question.

Dear Mrs Bell, diagrams A.1 and A.2 are worked in the round, ie all stitches will be knitted seen from RS - see 1st symbol. Happy knitting!

Hva gjør jeg galt her ?? Får ikke antallet / mønster til å gå opp Skal eller kan jeg utelate mønster bak ?? ?
29.03.2019 - 11:11DROPS Design answered:
Hei Elisabeth. A.1 er 5 masker. Du strikker slik: 25 masker glattstrikk, videre strikkes mønster slik: 2 masker vrang, A.1 (=5 masker) altså totalt 7 masker. Videre strikkes 2 masker vrang, A.2 (=13 masker), 2 masker vrang (totalt 17 masker), så styrikker du A.1, 2 masker vrang (= totaslt 7 masker). Du har nå strikket mønster over 7 + 17 + 7 = 31 masker. Videre strikker du 50 masker glattstrikk, gjentar de 31 maskene i mønster, og strikker 25 masker glattstrikk. 25 + 31 + 50 + 31 + 25 = 162 masker. God fornøyelse

Is there supposed to be a one stitch decrease every time you do A1 and A2 and just shift the purls so the pattern still lines up? I've watched the video multiple times but it hasn't helped because there isn't sound, its too fast, and I don't know continental style. I'm not sure if I'm following the pattern correctly. Thank you!

Dear Shawn, the number of sts should be the same in A.1 and A.2 all the way. Work row 3 in A.1 as follows: K2 tog, YO, K1, slip 1 st as if to K, K 1, psso. Work rows 3, 7, 11 and 15 in A.2 as follows: K4 rog, YO, (K1, YO) work from (to) a total of 5 times, K4 twisted tog. Happy knitting!

GARTER ST (worked in the round): 1 ridge = 2 rounds. * K 1 round and P 1 round *, repeat from *-*. PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 and A.2. DECREASE TIP: Dec as follows: Beg 3 sts before st with marker: K 2 tog, K 2 (marker is between these sts), slip 1 st as if to K, K 1, psso. KNITTING TIP: If knitting tension is incorrect in height and the knitting is too tight, the raglan dec will be too short and the armholes too small. This can be adjusted by working 1 extra round without dec evenly spaced between dec. -------------------------------------------------------- TOP: Worked in the round. Cast on 146-162-174-190-210-230 sts on circular needle size 5 mm. Work 2 ridges in GARTER ST - see explanation above. Then work as follows from the side: 21-25-28-32-30-35 sts in stocking st, * P 2, A.1 ( = 5 sts) *, repeat from *-* 1-1-1-1-2-2 times in total, P 2, A.2 (= 13 sts), P 2, *A.1, P 2,* repeat from *-* 1-1-1-1-2-2 times in total, 42-50-56-64-60-70 sts in stocking st, * P 2, A.1*, repeat from *-* 1-1-1-1-2-2 times in total, P 2, A.2 (= 13 sts), P 2, *A.1, P 2,* repeat from *-* 1-1-1-1-2-2 times in total, 21-25-28-32-30-35 sts in stocking st. Insert 2 markers in the piece; 1 at the beg of round and one after 73-81-87-95-105-115 sts. Continue pattern like this. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION When piece measures 5 cm, dec 1 st on each side of markers, repeat dec every 3 cm 4 more times - READ DECREASE TIP = 126-142-154-170-190-210 sts. When piece measures 21 cm, inc 1 st on each side of markers, repeat inc every 6-6-7-7-8-8 cm 2 more times = 138-154-166-182-202-222 sts. When piece measures 36-37-38-39-40-41 cm, cast off 6 sts in each side (= 3 sts on each side of marker in each side), work the remaining sts as before = 126-142-154-170-190-210 sts. SLEEVE EDGE: Cast on 52-56-60-62-66-70 sts on double pointed needles size 5 mm with Paris. Work 2 ridges, then work in stocking st until piece measures 3 cm. Now cast off 6 sts mid under sleeve = 46-50-54-56-60-64 sts. Knit another sleeve edge the same way. YOKE: Slip sleeves on to same circular needle as body where armholes were cast off (without working them first) = 218-242-262-282-310-338 sts. Insert 1 marker in every transition between sleeves and body = 4 markers. Continue in stocking st and with pattern as before while at the same time on next round dec for raglan in each of the 4 transitions between body and sleeves (i.e. 8 dec per dec-round) - READ DECREASE TIP AND KNITTING TIP! Dec every other round 16-16-16-17-18-18 times, then every round 0-2-4-4-5-7 times. After all dec, 90-98-102-114-126-138 sts remain on needle. Work 2 ridges while AT THE SAME TIME on 1st round dec 6-11-12-22-31-40 sts evenly = 84-87-90-92-95-98 sts. Cast off. ASSEMBLY: Sew the openings under the sleeves. |
