12.06.2021 - 13:12DROPS Design answered:
Hei Gro.

Mvh DROPS Design

I am making this pattern and can not understand how to start the body. I have 258 stitches picked up. If I then repeat A1and A2 19 times that is 247 stitches. This leaves me 11 stitches not 6. Please can you advise me? Thank you .
08.05.2019 - 14:12DROPS Design answered:
Dear Ruth, work the 258 sts as follows: A.1 (= 7 sts), then repeat A.2 a total of 40 times in width while decreasing 5 stitches evenly and finish round with A.3 (= 6 sts) = 7 + 40 x 6 + 6 = 253 sts. Happy knitting!

Hallo, ich habe schon ganz am Anfang ein Problem. Ich habe 102 Maschen aufgenommen und wenn ich jetzt 14mal 2 Maschen zunehme, komme ich nicht auf 158 Maschen. Habe ich was falsch verstanden? Vielen Dank für eine Antwort
24.03.2018 - 15:46DROPS Design answered:

I am currently "Stuck" at the pattern right here: M, L, XL, XXL and XXXL: Work A.4, inc. 29 sts. evenly on first round = 325 sts. then work A4 - on the 5th line of a$ is K2Tog; yo - problem is 325 is not an even number so at end I cannot K2 Tog because I am left with one stitch...what is the correct action on completing this row correctly?
19.07.2016 - 21:33DROPS Design answered:
Dear Miranda, when working the round with (K2 tog, YO), K the last st at the end of round. Happy knitting!

Thank you for the toutorial attached, it was helpful indeed. However i think i am still confused on line 5 of A.1,A.2 and A.3 - I'm not certain of the pattern exactly if i am supposed to knit A.1 then A.2 37 times then A.3 at the end and if so how do I split that since the stitches between A.1, A.2 and A.3 are 1 yo, sl 1 as if to k, k2 tog, psso, 1 yo? Thanks for any assistance you can provide on that part.
07.04.2016 - 01:42DROPS Design answered:
Dear Jen, on row 5, the last 2 sts in A.1 will be worked tog with the first st in A.2, the YO will then belong to A.2 - when working A.2, work the last 2 sts in A.2 tog with the next st in next A.2 and then with the first st in A.3. Happy knitting!

GARTER ST (back and forth): K all rows. 1 ridge = 2 rows K. GARTER ST (worked in the round): * K 1 round and P 1 round *, repeat from *-*. 1 ridge = 2 rounds. PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 to A.7. The diagrams show all rows in pattern seen from RS. INCREASE TIP: All inc are done from RS. Inc 1 st by making 1 YO, on next row P YO twisted (i.e. work in back loop of st instead front) to avoid holes. In sections in garter st K YO twisted on next row. ---------------------------------------------------------- TOP: The piece is worked top down. Work front and back piece back and forth separately until ridges are done. Then put pieces tog and work in the round. FRONT PIECE: Worked back and forth on circular needle. Cast on 102-102-110-110-117-123 sts on circular needle size 3 mm with Safran. Switch to circular needle size 2.5 mm. Insert 1 marker in piece the 28th-28th-31st-31st-33rd-36th st in from each side (= 46-46-48-48-51-51 sts between markers). K 1 row from WS. Continue in GARTER ST back and forth - see explanation above! AT THE SAME TIME on next row inc 1 st in each side of the 2 sts with marker - Read INCREASE TIP! Repeat inc every other row a total of 14-17-17-19-19-22 times = 158-170-178-186-193-211 sts. K 1 row from WS after last inc. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION Piece measures approx. 6-7-7-8-8-9 cm. Work next row as follows (from RS): Loosely cast off the first 41-44-47-49-51-57 sts (= strap), K the next 76-82-84-88-91-97 sts (the first of these sts is already on right needle), and loosely cast off the last 41-44-47-49-51-57 sts (= strap), cut the yarn. Work next row from WS as follows: Cast on 7-9-13-16-20-24 new sts at beg of row, work the 76-82-84-88-91-97 sts from needle and cast on 7-9-13-16-20-24 new sts at the end of row = 90-100-110-120-131-145 sts. Work in garter st back and forth for 8-8-9-9-10-10 cm – AT THE SAME TIME after 7-7-8-8-9-9 cm, dec 1 st in each side by K tog the 2 second outermost sts from RS = 88-98-108-118-129-143 sts. Adjust so that last row is a row from WS. Put piece aside. BACK PIECE: Cast on and work as front piece. BODY: Switch to circular needle size 3 mm. Work in stocking st over all sts on back piece and continue over sts from front piece = 176-196-216-236-258-286 sts. Continue in the round. Work A.1, A.2 until 6 sts remain on round, dec 1-3-5-1-5-3 sts evenly on first round in A.2, A.3 = 175-193-211-235-253-283 sts. When A.1-A.3 have been worked vertically, work A.4, inc 15-11-9-9-11-9 sts evenly on first round = 190-204-220-244-264-292 sts. When A.4 has been worked vertically, work A.5, inc 14-12-8-8-12-8 sts evenly on first round = 204-216-228-252-276-300 sts. When A.5 has been worked vertically, work A.6, inc 24-30-32-32-28-32 sts evenly on first round = 228-246-260-284-304-332 sts. When A.6 has been worked vertically, continue with A.7, inc 4-10-12-12-8-12 sts evenly = 232-256-272-296-312-344 sts. Repeat A.X 2-2-2-2-3-3 times in total vertically (inc only the first time A.X is worked) and continue with the remaining rounds in A.7. Now work as follows in each size: S: Work 2 ridges AT THE SAME TIME on next round inc 9 sts evenly = 241 sts. M, L, XL, XXL and XXXL: Work A.4, inc 15-29-29-31-29 sts evenly on first round = 271-301-325-343-373 sts. ALL SIZES: Work A.1, A.2 until 6 sts remain, A.3. (NOTE: Do not inc on first round.) When A.1-A.3 have been worked vertically, work 2 rounds in stocking st while AT THE SAME TIME inc 19-20-27-29-26-33 sts evenly = 260-291-328-354-369-406 sts. Switch to circular needle size 2.5 mm and work in GARTER ST - see explanation above, for 2 cm. Loosely cast off. ASSEMBLY: Sew shoulder seams and seam under armholes in outer loops of edge sts. |
