Hi Neala, In the second paragraph, under All Sizes, continue working the leg to your desired length before decreasing stitches. Regards, Drops Team.

Hello,my question is: I knit size 44/46,i can't understand how is ,he had before the heel decreases 72sts,and after the heel decreases we had 86 sts,i don't get it. Can you explain it, please? Thank you!
18.09.2025 - 16:17DROPS Design answered:
Hi Kate, this is because after heel decrease you start to work in the round again, at the same time kniting up some stitches on each side of heel (they will be decreased later). Please see the video HERE (start from 2:57). Happy knitting!

Generally easy pattern to follow. Socks turned out beautifully. I think I would have preferred to close with a Kitchener stitch for a more rounded toe.

Then insert a marker in the mid of each side so that there are 18-19-20-20 (21-22-24-25) 26-28-31-32 sts between the markers. Continue working stocking st over all sts while AT THE SAME TIME dec for toes on each side of the markers. Dec as follows before marker: K 2 tog. Dec as follows after marker: K 2 twisted tog. Dec like this in each side on every other round a total of 3-3-3-6 (6-6-5-5) 6-7-6-7 times and then on every round 4-4-4-2 (2-2-4-4) 4-4-6-6 times = 8-10-12-8 (10-12-12-14) 12-12-14-12 sts remain on needle. On next round work all sts tog 2 by 2. Cut the thread and pull it through the remaining sts, tighten tog and fasten. Knit another sock. |
