Dear Sophia, you have to cast on new sts and at the same time work in pattern, so that you will get after all sts are cast on (seen from RS): 1 edge st, P6, M.1, P6, K 35-36-37-38-39-40, P6, M.1, P2, M.2, P6, K 30-32-34-36-38-40 (these sts are mid back), P6, M.1, P2, M.2, P6, K 35-36-37-38-39-40, P6, M.2, P6, 1 edge st. Work the sts that cannot fit diagram in stocking st, and make sure to place the diagram correctly for your size matching the number of sts. Using markers can be very helpful. Happy knitting!

Could I get a picture of the back of this pattern. A little confused about the cable instructions incorporated into the increase rows. I'm a visual knitter. Need to see the back of the pattern. Thank you.
