Bonjour.

Bon tricot!

HAT: Knitting Tension: 23 sts x 32 rows on needles size 3 mm in stocking sts = 10 x 10 cm. Rib:* K1, P1*, repeat from *-*. Pattern: see diagram M.1. The entire pattern is knitted in stocking sts. Cast on 98-108-118 sts on small circular needle size 3 mm with orange. Knit 7-8-9 cm Rib, at the same time after 3 rounds of Rib change to pink. After the Rib continue in stocking sts and M.1 until finished measurements. Remember your knitting tension! Cast off when hat measures 26-28-30 cm (if you haven’t reached finished measurements after M.1 finish in blue). Sew hat at top. Fold 5 cm Rib towards the right side. SCARF: Knitting Tension: 16 sts x 40 rows on needles size 5 mm in English Rib = 10 x 10 cm. English Rib: 1st row (right side): 1 edge st in garter sts, *K1, make a yo, slip 1 st as if to purl*, repeat from *-* until 2 sts left on row, finish with K1 and 1 edge st in garter sts. 2nd row (wrong side): 1 edge st in garter sts, *make a yo, slip 1 st as if to purl, K the next st and the yo tog.*, repeat from *-* until 2 sts left on row, finish with a yo, slip 1 st as if to purl and 1 edge st in garter sts. 3rd row (right side): 1 edge st in garter sts, * K the next st and the yo tog, make a yo, slip 1 st as if to purl*, repeat from *-* until 2 sts left on row, finish with K tog the next st and the yo and 1 edge st in garter sts. Repeat the 2nd and 3rd row. Scarf: Cast on 19-23-27 sts on needles size 5 mm with pink. Knit English Rib – see explanation above in stripes as follows: *15 cm pink, 15 cm blue, 4 rows light blue, 2 rows red, 10 cm pink, 2 rows red, 4 rows off-white, 4 rows orange, 2 rows pink, 15 cm red, 15 cm blue, 6 cm light blue, 4 rows off-white, 2 rows pink, 2 rows off-white, 2 rows red, 2 rows off-white, 6 cm orange*, repeat from *-* until scarf measures 100-120-140 cm. Cast off loosely GLOVES: Knitting Tension: 23 sts x 32 rows on needles size 3mm in stocking sts. = 10 x 10 cm Rib: *K1, P1*, repeat from *-*. Cast on 48-52-56 sts on double pointed needles size 2.5mm with orange and knit 10 cm Rib. Change to double pointed needles size 3mm and continue in stocking sts. At the same time dec 12 sts evenly on the first round of stocking sts = 36-40-44 sts. Measure glove from here from now on. Remember your knitting tension! When piece measures 1-1-2 cm inc for thumb as follows: insert a marking thread, inc 1 st by knitting 2 sts in next st, K1, inc 1 st by knitting 2 sts in next st, insert a marking thread, knit the rest of the round (the sts between the 2 marking threads = thumb sts). Now inc 1 st within each marking thread on every other round a total of 3-3-4 times = 11-11-13 thumb sts. When piece measures 3-4-4 cm put the thumb sts on a thread. Cast on 3 new sts behind the thumb sts = 36-40-44 sts and continue in stocking sts. When piece measures 6-7.5-9 cm knit next round as follows: 14-16-17 sts (= palm of hand), put 8-8-10 sts on thread for little finger, knit 14-16-17 sts (= upper hand). Now knit the fingers on double pointed needles size 2.5mm in different colours. Little finger: = blue. Put the 8-8-10 sts from thread on needles size 2.5mm and cast on 3 new sts towards ring finger = 11-11-13 sts. Knit stocking sts until finger measures 3-4-5 cm, on next round knit all sts tog 2 and 2, cut thread and pull it through remaining sts. Ring finger: = red. Put 4-5-5 sts from upper hand and 4-4-5 sts from palm on hand on needles size 2.5mm, pick up 3 new sts towards the little finger and cast on 2 new sts towards the middle finger = 13-14-15 sts. Knit stocking sts until finger measures 5-6-7 cm, on next round knit all sts tog 2 and 2, cut the thread and pull it through remaining sts. Middle finger: = light blue. Put 4-5-5 sts from upper hand and 5-5-6 sts from palm of hand on needles size 2.5mm, pick up 3 new sts towards the ring finger and cast on 2 new sts towards index finger = 14-15-16 sts. Knit until finger measures 6-7-8 cm, on next round knit all sts tog 2 and 2, cut the thread and pull it remaining sts. Index finger: = pink. Put the remaining 11-11-13 sts on needles size 2.5mm, pick up 3 new sts towards the middle finger = 14-16-16 sts. Knit until finger measures 4.5-5.5-6.5 cm, on next round knit all sts tog 2 and 2, cut the thread and pull it remaining sts. Thumb: = orange. Put the 11-11-13 thumb sts back on needle and pick up 3 new sts behind these towards index finger = 14-14-16 sts. Knit 3.5-4.5-5.5 cm stocking sts, knit all sts tog 2 and 2 and cast off as on the other fingers. Knit another glove, but mirrored. NB! Interchange pink and orange, so that the other glove is pink and index finger is orange. Decoration: Sew a red heart on the orange glove and an orange sun on the pink glove for decoration.
