Pattern: See diagram. The diagram shows the pattern from the RS. The pattern is divisible by 4 + 1 edge st and 1 additional st each side. Work pattern as follows: 1 edge st, pattern repeat, 1 additional st, 1 edge st. English translations for the wording in diagrams are given at the bottom of this pattern and they are given in the vertical order in which they appear in the diagram. Back piece: Cast on 95-103 sts on needle size 6 mm with mint and work 4 rows pattern – see diagram. Change to needle size 8 mm and white and continue in pattern until piece measures 21-23 cm. Now cast off for armhole each side on every 4th row: 1 st 6 times and continue in pattern until piece measures 45-47 cm. Cast off the middle 17 sts for neck and complete each side separately. Cast off to shape the neckline on every other row: 3 sts 3 times. Cast off remaining 24-28 sts on shoulder when piece measures 48-50 cm. Right front piece: Cast on 75-59 sts on needle size 6 mm with mint and work 4 rows pattern. Change to needle size 8 mm and white and continue in pattern until piece measures 10-12 cm. Now cast off towards mid front to shape the V-neck: 1 st 10 times on every 4th row and 1 st 35 times on every other row. At the same time on first row with dec cast off 5 sts for buttonhole, 4 sts from the left side of piece. Cast on 5 new sts on return row. Cast off for armhole at the side as described for back piece and cast off remaining sts on shoulder when piece measures 48-50 cm. Left front piece: Cast on 39-43 sts on needle size 6 mm with mint and work 4 rows pattern. Change to needle size 8 mm and white and continue in pattern until piece measures 10-12 cm. Cast off towards mid front (= the right side of piece) to shape the V-neck: 1 st 9 times on every 10th row. Cast off for armhole at the side as described for back piece and cast off remaining sts on shoulder when piece measures 49-50 cm. Sleeves: Sew shoulder seam. Pick up approx 84 sts round armhole on needle size 8 mm with mint. Work reverse stocking st, at the same time dec 4 sts each side on every row by turning piece when 4 sts remain on row. Continue like this until there are 4 sts left on row, change to needle size 6 mm and K 6 rows on all sts, cast off. Assembly: Pick up 96-100 sts along left front piece, 40 sts round neckline on back piece, and 110-114 sts along right front piece (= 90 sts along the sloping edge and 20-24 sts along the first 10-12 cm) on needle size 6 mm with mint. K 6 rows on all sts and now cast off sts on left front piece and neckline on back piece, keep the 90 sts along the sloping edge and cast off the last 20-24 sts. Continue in garter st (K all rows) on the 90 sts, at the same time dec 1 st 13 times towards shoulder on every other row until 2 sts remain. K 2 rows and cast off. Sew side seams. Sew on button to fit buttonhole. English explanation to pattern diagram: 1 kantm = 1 edge st 1m tillegg = 1 additional st 1 repeat = 4 sts = RS: slip 1 st as if to K, place thread behind piece. WS: slip 1 st as if to K, place thread in front of piece. = 1 stocking st in white = 1 stocking st in mint = 1 edge st |
