Hello! I’ve just started knitting the first sleeve. Im confused as to where along the row to increase when it says ‘mid under arm’ and then again at the end of the sleeve when it says to ‘cast off 6 stitches mid under sleeve’
27.05.2020 - 22:10DROPS Design answered:
Dear Fiona, the sleeve is knitted on the round, and the point where you join the circl will be the start of each round. Put a markere here, and this will be the mid-underarm (if teh sleeves would be knitted back and forth, it should be sewn together at this line). Do the decreases of either side of this lie, and when doing the armhole, cast off 3 stitches before and 3 stitches after this marker. Happy Knitting!

Hei. Modell x-144 Alaska garn.

Mvh DROPS Design

Last question, How do you get from 230 sts during the increase, to 109 by the end of the body?
28.03.2018 - 19:35DROPS Design answered:
Dear Daniel, when you get to the point of the underarm, the stitches of the front and the back are separated, and some stitches are cast off under the sleeves to shape the armholes. The 109 stitch is the number of stitches on either the front or the back piece after casting off. Happy Knitting!

When making the body piece, is the 164 st the whole body, or would I make 2 of these pieces, one for the front, and one for the back? Also, do I join and then work in the round?
28.03.2018 - 05:51DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Lillico, you cast on 164 sts for the body, join and work in the round to the armholes. Happy knitting!

I am making this sweater. For the sleeve, after 12 rows of M1 do replace M 1 with M3, and continue repeating M2?
19.11.2013 - 23:54DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Simmonds, you first work M1 either side of M2, then continue M1 on these sts and M3 over inc sts. Happy knitting!
