Buon lavoro!

You have indicated that patter for 1 and 2 are below the measurment section. I do not see any information for pattern 1 or 2 on the printed pattern. Do you have an updated version?
22.07.2019 - 15:56DROPS Design answered:
Dear Judith, if you have in your printed version drawing/ chart of the sweater with measures, you will find pattern diagram chart on the right - see M.1, M.2. If you have no chart, there is probably one whole page missing in you printed version, so check all then pages for print. Happy knitting!

I just downloaded this pattern. In the QA section Elaine Singer asked for the patterns 1 & 2. You indicated they were below the measurement chart. I cannot find them when I print the pattern. Do you have an updated version?

I assume that when you do the M1 and M2 pattern that the even rows are worked from the left and are the wrong side of the top so need to be purl stitch instead of knit etc??
10.02.2019 - 20:39DROPS Design answered:
Hello Vicky. Yes, the even rows are worked on the wrong side of the work, from the left to the right. You will knit the black squares, and purl the white squares. Happy knitting!

I don't understand the description. It says 235 stitches for the body, but later it says 58 for the front and 111 for the back. Confusing. How many parts of this jacket should be knitted? How many front parts? Or am I missing something?
11.10.2017 - 21:15DROPS Design answered:
Dear Diana, the jacket is worked from bottom up in one piece to armholes, ie work over the 235 sts until piece measures 33 cm, then cast off for armholes: work 58 sts for front piece, cast off the next 4 sts, work the next 111 sts for back piece, cast off the next 4 sts and work the last 58 sts for front piece. Work now each part separately to the end starting with one of the front piece. Slip sts from back piece and 2nd front piece on a st holder, they will be worked later. Happy knitting!

Knitting tension: 23 stitches x 30 rows with needle size 3.5 mm and stocking stitch = 10 x 10 cm. Remember needle size is only a guide! Pattern: See diagram (1 diagram = 1 repeat). The pattern is seen from the right side. Ridge/Garter stitch (back and forth on needle): 1 ridge = Knit 2 rows. Body: The jacket is worked back and forth with circular needle. Cast on 235 (245-255) stitches (incl. 2 edge stitches which are worked in garter stitch) with circular needle size 3.5 mm and yellow and work M.1 upwards as follows: 1 edge stitch, M.1 x 23 (24-25), 3 stitches stocking stitch, 1 edge stitch. Remember the knitting tension. When the piece measures 29 (29-29) cm work M.2 upwards to finished length as follows: 1 edge stitch, M.2 x 23 (24-25), 3 stitches stocking stitch, 1 edge stitch. At the same time when the piece measures 33 (33-33) cm work the next row as follows: 58 (61-63) stitches front piece, cast off 4 stitches for armhole, 111 (115-121) stitches back piece, cast off 4 stitches for armhole, 58 (61-63) stitches front piece. Each part is finished separately. Front piece: = 58 (61-63) stitches. Continue to cast off for armhole every 2nd row: 2 stitches x 2 (2-2), 1 stitch x 3 (4-5) = 51 (53-54) stitches. When piece measures 45 (46-47) cm cast off for neck every 2nd row: 6 (8-7) stitches x 1, 3 stitches x 1, 2 stitches x 3, 1 stitch x 2 and then every 4th row: 1 stitch x 2. Cast off when piece measures 55 (56-57) cm. Back piece: = 111 (115-121) stitches. Continue to cast off for armholes as for front piece = 97 (99-103) stitches. When piece measures 53 (54-55) cm cast off the middle 29 (31-31) stitches for neck. Then cast off 2 stitches in each side on the next row towards neck. Cast off when piece measures 55 (56-57) cm. Sleeve: Cast on 78 (78-82) stitches with double pointed needles size 3.5 mm and yellow and work M.2 upwards. At the same time increase mid under sleeve on every row: 2 stitches x 12 (14-14) = 102 (106-110) stitches (the increased stitches are worked into the pattern as you go). When the piece measures 5 (5,5-6) cm cast off 4 stitches mid under sleeve and finish working back and forth on needle. Continue to cast off for sleeve cap in each side on every 2nd row: 3 stitches x 8 (9-9), 4 stitches x 2, cast off. The piece measures approx. 12 (13-14) cm. Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Knit up approx. 120 stitches with needle size 3.5 mm around the neck and work 2 ridges, cast off. Band: Crochet along left front piece with yellow and hook size 2.5 mm as follows: 2 rows of approx. 75 double crochets. Repeat along the right band but after row 1 (which starts at bottom), work buttonholes on row 2 (which starts at top), as follows: work 2 double crochets, * work 2 chain stitches, skip 2 double crochets on the row below and work approx. 8-9 double crochets *. Repeat *-* (there will be approx. 7-8 buttonholes). Sew in sleeves and sew on buttons. |
