COLOUR-CHANGE: When changing colours for a new round, work the last slip stitch on the round with the new colour. ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- BLANKET – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: The piece consists of squares which are crocheted together to finish. GRANNY SQUARE: Use crochet hook size 9 mm and DROPS Snow. Work 2 squares in each colour-combination - read COLOURS above. The squares are worked according to diagram A.1 - read COLOUR-CHANGE above. REMEMBER THE CROCHET TENSION! 1 square measures approx. 18 x 18 cm. You will have a total of 24 squares. ASSEMBLY: Lay the squares out as shown in A.2 (4 squares in width and 6 in length). The square numbers in the diagram correspond to the square numbers in COLOURS. The squares are crocheted together length-wise then width-wise. Lay 2 squares together wrong side to wrong side. Work through both layers with colour dark brown: Work 1 double crochet around the corner, * 4 chain stitches, 1 double crochet between the next treble-crochet group *, work from *-* 4 times (the last double crochet is around the second corner). Work 1 chain stitch (transition to the next 2 squares). Work 1 double crochet around the corner of the 2 new squares, then work from *-* onwards. Continue until all the squares have been crocheted together, first length-wise then width-wise. EDGE: Work an edge with colour dark brown. Start in 1 corner and work the last round in A.1, however in the transition between 2 squares do not work 3 treble crochets, work as follows: 1 treble crochet around the corner of the first square, 1 treble crochet in the double crochet, 1 treble crochet around the corner of the second square. Finish the round with 1 slip stitch in the first stitch. Cut and fasten the strand. |
