Hei!

I'd like to try and knit from the pattern but I don't understand one of the simbles. On the middle four squares, and others, there is a sort of elongated circle. Can you let me know what this stands for please
04.04.2019 - 17:47DROPS Design answered:
Dear Angie, this symbol means that you should make 1 yarn over between 2 stitches. Happy knitting!

Si possono realizzare anche con i ferri dritti?

Buonasera Martina, le pantofole sono lavorate in piano, per cui può utilizzare anche i ferri dritti. Buon lavoro!

INFORMATION FOR THE PATTERN: RIDGE/GARTER STITCH (worked in the round): 1 ridge = 2 rounds. Knit 1 round and purl 1 round. RIDGE/GARTER STITCH (worked back and forth): 1 ridge = Knit 2 rows. PATTERN: See diagram A.1. The diagram shows all the rows in the pattern seen from the right side. ---------------------------------------------------------- SLIPPER: The piece is worked in the round and back and forth on double pointed needles, top down from the middle of the slipper. First work a short leg in the round, then work the middle piece back and forth (= top of foot). Then knit up stitches on each side of the middle piece and work in the round over all stitches to mid under foot. The piece is sewn together mid under foot. SHORT LEG: Cast on 36-38-40 stitches with double pointed needles size 6 mm and Snow. Work GARTER STITCH (in the round) – see description above, for 4 cm, finish after 1 round of purl. Insert 1 marker thread after the 23rd-25th-26th stitch (= mid back). FOOT: Now keep the first 9-11-11 stitches on the needle. The remaining 27-27-29 stitches are placed on 1 thread. Continue with GARTER STITCH (back and forth) - see description above, and at the same time cast on 1 new stitch in each side on the first row = 11-13-13 stitches on the needle (the edge stitches are knit from both the right side and the wrong side). REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When the middle piece measures approx. 7-8½-10 cm cast off the 1 edge stitch in each side = 9-11-11 stitches. Cut the strand. The next round is worked as follows from mid back: Knit the first 13-13-14 stitches from the thread, knit up 12-14-16 stitches along the side of the middle piece (knit up inside the 1 edge stitch), knit the 9-11-11 stitches from the middle piece, knit up 12-14-16 stitches along the other side of the middle piece and knit the remaining 14-14-15 stitches from the thread = 60-66-72 stitches on the needles. THE PIECE IS NOW MEASURED FROM HERE! Insert 1 marker thread mid front of slipper. Continue in the round with garter stitch. When the piece measures 2 cm (adjust so that the next round is knitted) knit 2 stitches together on each side of each marker thread every 2nd round (= 4 stitches decreased per round). Continue the decreases until the piece measures 5-5-6 cm – then cast off with knit. Sew the seam under the foot in the outermost loop of the outermost stitch so that the seam is flat. LOOSE LEG, WORKED SIDEWAYS: Cast on 21 stitches in all sizes with double pointed needles size 6 mm and Snow. Work 1 ridge. Then work A.1 (= 21 stitches). Work pattern like this until the piece measures approx. 38-39-41 cm - adjust to after 1 complete repeat in height. Work 1 ridge - AT THE SAME TIME decrease 2 stitches on the first row of the ridge = 19 stitches. Cast off. ASSEMBLY: Lay the cast-on edge over the cast-off edge on the loose leg, and sew 2 decorative buttons through both layers. Then sew the leg to the cast-on edge on the short leg, the buttons should be on the outside of the leg. Work another slipper in the same way. When fasting the loos leg, make sure the side with the buttons are on the opposite side on the other slipper. |
