Shorter measurements in the larger sizes because of longer sleeve cap and wider shoulders, cast off for sleeve cap at beg of every row in each side as follows: 4 sts 1 time, then cast off 2 sts 7-8-9-10-11-12 times, 1 st 2 times, then cast off all sts. Piece now measures approx. 57-58-58-58-58-58 cm. ASSEMBLY: Sew the shoulder seams. Sew in sleeves. Sew sleeve and side seams in one inside 1 edge st. Sew collar tog mid back in outer loops of edge sts to avoid a chunky seam. Sew collar to neck line in the back of neck with neat little stitches. POCKETS: Cast on 31-31-34-34-38-38 sts on circular needle size 4.5 mm with 1 strand ash grey + 1 strand light steel blue (= 2 strands) and work in stocking st back and forth on needle until piece measures approx. 16-16-18-18-20-20 cm. Work 2 ridges, loosely cast off. Knit another pocket. Place one pocket on each front piece approx. in the middle between side and band with bottom edge of pocket approx. 7 cm over edge in garter st (try the jacket on for placement). Sew the pockets on with neat stitches. | |
