Dear Jayshri, please understand that with many thousands of patterns available free on our site, we cannot modify patterns to each individual request. However, you can try to modify it yourself, and HERE is a lesson that might help you do that. Happy Knitting!

Hi! Can you please explain the part after separation for V neck. (I have two parts with 25 stitches each ) How many stitches should I have in every next row ?
20.01.2022 - 09:03DROPS Design answered:
Dear Ivana, after you have divided both sides of front piece, slip one of the half on a stitch holder/thread and work the first shoulder casting off at the beginning of every row from neck: 2 sts 2 times then 1 stitch a total of 6 times (2nd size), then cast off the the beginning of every other row from neck (= every 4th row) 1 stitch 2 times = 13 sts will remain for shoulder, then cast off at the beg of every row from shoulder 5 sts 1 time, and 4 sts 2 times. And now work the 2nd shoulder casting off at the beg of every row from neck and then at the beg of every row from shoulder. Happy knitting!

Your english translations are very strange. In the UK the expression' bind off ' is not used in knitting. We say 'cast off'.

I am having difficulty in understanding the instructions on Drops 59-23. I am knitting in the round and have come to the arm holes. There are 192 stitches and I am confused with the total stitches after binding off for arm holes.
07.02.2020 - 20:35DROPS Design answered:
Dear Ann, you have 192 stitches and work the next round to shape the armhole as follows : cast off 3 sts, work the next 90 sts as before, cast off 6 sts, work the next 90 sts as before, cast off the last 3 sts, cut the yarn = there are now 90 sts for front and back piece. Work each piece separately back and forth casting off for the armholes as explained. Happy knitting

Pattern: See chart M.1 and M.2 (1 chart = 1 repeat). The pattern is seen from the right side. Garter st, back and forth: Knit all sts, all rows. Garter st, on the round: *Rnd 1, knit. Rnd 2, P.* Repeat from * - *. Rib: * K 2, P 2 *. Repeat from * - *. Body: Cast on 144-156-164-176 (188-200-208) sts on smaller circular needles; join and place a marker at the join. Work 2 rows garter st, then rib until the work measures 4-4-5-5 (5-6-6) cm. Change to larger circular needles and work M.1, increasing 12-12-16-16 (16-16-20) sts evenly distributed across the first row = 156-168-180-192 (204-216-228) sts. Center the pattern across the front and back. When M.1 has been worked 1 time vertically, work M.2. Repeat pattern like this until finished measurements. At the same time, when the work measures 20-21-22-23 (24-25-26) cm , work the next row as follows: bind off 3 sts for armhole, 72-78-84-90 (96-102-108) sts for the front, bind off 6 sts for armhole, 72-78-84-90 (96-102-108) sts for the back, bind off 3 sts for armhole. Work the rest of each part separately. Front: = 72-78-84-90 (96-102-108) sts. Bind off for armholes every other row: 3 sts 2 times, 2 sts 2 times, 1 st 3-3-2-2 (3-3-3) times, then every 4th row: 1 st 1-1-1-1 (2-2-2) times = 44-50-58-64 (66-72-78) sts. When the work measures 27-29-31-34 (35-36-37) cm , divide at the center for V-neck. Work the rest of the right and left side separately. Bind off at each neck every other row: 2 sts 2 times, 1 st 5-6-7-7 (7-8-8) times, then every 4th row: 1 st 2-2-2-2 (3-3-4) times = 11-13-16-19 (19-21-23) sts on the shoulder. When the work measures 35-38-41-44 (46-48-50) cm , bind off at the side edge every other row: 4-5-5-5 (5-5-5) sts 2-1-0-3 (3-1-3) times, 3-4-4-4 (4-4-4) sts 1-2-4-1 (1-4-2) times. All sts should be bound off and the work measures approx. 37-40-43-47 (49-51-53) cm . Back: = 72-78-84-90 (96-102-108) sts. Bind off for armholes as on the front = 44-50-58-64 (66-72-78) sts. When the work measures 35-38-41-44 (46-48-50) cm , bind off for shoulders as on the front. At the same time, when the work measures 35-38-41-45 (47-49-51) cm , bind off the center 18-20-22-22 (24-26-28) sts for the neck. Bind off 2 sts at each neck edge on the next row. When the shoulder binding off is finished all sts should be bound off and the work measures approx. 37-40-43-47 (49-51-53) cm . Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Pick up approx. 76-140 sts (divisible by 4 sts) around the neck on smaller needles and work 2 rows garter st back and forth on the needles from the center front. Then knit rib for 2-2-2-2 (3-3-3) cm as follows: K 1 (edge st knit in garter st throughout), * K 2, P 2 *, repeat from * - * until 3 sts remain, K 2, K 1 (edge st knit in garter st throughout). Then work 2 rows garter st, bind off. Lay the left part of the neck edge over the right and sew. Pick up approx. 76-96-100-112 (116-124-128) sts (divisible by 4 sts) around the armhole on smaller double pointed needles; join and work 2 rows garter st, then 2 cm rib, finish with 2 rows garter st, bind off. |
