Vh. Maja

Hej Maja.

GARTER ST (back and forth on needle): K all rows. GARTER ST (in the round): *K 1 round, P 1 round*, repeat from *-*. PATTERN: See diagram M.1 (= 13 sts). The diagram shows the pattern from RS. DECREASE TIP (applies to the body): Dec on each side of the 4 markers as follows: Work until 2 sts before the marker, slip 1 st as if to K, K1, psso (the marker), K 2 tog. INCREASE TIP: K 2 sts in 1 st. MEASURING TIP: Because of the weight of the yarn all measurements must be done by holding the piece up otherwise the garment will be too long when worn. -------------------------------------------------------- DRESS: Worked in the round on circular needle. Cast on 260-273-286-299-325-351 sts on circular needle size 4mm with Muskat. Work 4 rounds in garter st - see explanation above. Then work M.1 over all sts - see explanation above. When M.1 has been worked a total of 2 times vertically, K 1 round while AT THE SAME TIME dec 0-5-0-1-5-5 sts evenly = 260-268-286-298-320-346 sts. Continue working in stocking st over all sts. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When piece measures 15cm insert 4 markers in the piece as follows (the round beg in the side): Work 37-38-43-45-50-56 sts, insert a marker, work 56-58-57-59-60-61 sts, insert a marker, work 74-76-86-90-100-112 sts, insert a marker, work 56-58-57-59-60-61 sts, insert a marker and work the rest of round (= 37-38-43-45-50-56 sts) On next round dec 1 sts on each side of each marker - SEE DECREASE TIP. Repeat dec on every 6th-6th-6th-7th-7th-7th round a total of 14-13-13-12-12-12 times = 148-164-182-202-224-250 sts. 6 rounds after last dec, inc 1 sts on each side of each marker on next round - read INCREASE TIP. Work 6 rounds without inc, then repeat the inc one last time = 164-180-198-218-240-266 sts. Remove the markers. Continue to work until piece measures 51-51-51-52-53-54cm. READ MEASURING TIP! Switch to circular needle size 3.5mm. K 1 round while AT THE SAME TIME inc 8-10-8-10-6-8 sts evenly (= 4-5-4-5-3-4 sts on the back piece and 4-5-4-5-3-4 sts on the front piece) = 172-190-206-228-246-274 sts. Work next round as follows (beg in the side): K 11-14-18-22-23-28 sts, * M.1, K 4-5-5-6-3-4 sts *, repeat from *-* a total of 3-3-3-3-4-4 times, M.1, K 11-14-18-22-23-28 sts, insert a marker (= the side), K 11-14-18-22-23-28 sts, repeat from *-* a total of 3-3-3-3-4-4 times, finish with M.1 and K 11-14-18-22-23-28 sts. Insert a marker at the end of the round (= the side). Continue with the pattern vertically. When the piece measures 62-63-64-66-68-70cm (and the pattern measures approx. 11-12-13-14-15-16cm) cast off 6 sts for armhole mid under sleeve in each side (cast off 3 sts on each side of the marker in each side) and each piece is finished separately (be careful so that the pattern row still is from the RS after the dividing the piece). BACK PIECE: = 80-89-97-108-117-131 sts. Worked back and forth on circular needle from this point. Continue with the pattern as before while AT THE SAME TIME cast off for armhole at beg of row in each side as follows: 2 sts 2-3-5-7-7-9 times and 1 st 1-2-2-2-3-4 times = 70-73-73-76-83-87 sts (NOTE! After last cast off for armhole, work the outermost st in each side in garter st until finished). When piece measures 78-80-82-85-88-91cm (adjust after 1 whole repetition of M.1 vertically) cast off the middle 30-33-33-36-43-45 sts for neckline on next row and finish each piece separately. Continue with pattern. Continue cast off 2 sts on the next row from the neckline =18-18-18-18-18-19 sts remain on the shoulder. Cast off when piece measures 80-82-84-87-90-93cm (adjust after 1 whole repetition of M.1 vertically). FRONT PIECE: = 80-89-97-108-117-131 sts. Cast off for armhole in each side as on the back piece = 70-73-73-76-83-87 sts. When piece measures 70-72-74-77-80-83cm (adjust after 1 whole repetition of M.1 vertically) cast off the middle 30-31-31-34-41-45 sts for neckline on next row and finish each shoulder separately. Continue with pattern. Continue to cast off for neckline at beg of each row from neckline as follows: 2 sts 1 time and 1 st 0-1-1-1-1-0 time = 18-18-18-18-18-19 sts remain on the shoulder. Cast off when piece measures 80-82-84-87-90-93 cm (adjust according to back piece). SLEEVE: Worked back and forth on circular needle. Cast on 61-65-71-75-81-85 sts (incl 1 edge st in each side) on needle 3.5 mm. Work 4 rows in garter st - see explanation above! Switch to circular needle size 4 mm. Continue working next row from RS as follows: 1 edge st in garter st, K the next 20-22-25-27-30-32 sts, K 1, 1 YO, K 1, 1 YO, K 1, 1 YO, M.1 (= 13 sts), 1 YO, K 1, 1 YO, K 1, 1 YO, K until 1 st remain, finish with 1 edge st in garter st = 67-71-77-81-87-91 sts. Work the YOs twisted on next row (i.e. knit in the back loop of st instead of front loop to avoid holes). Continue with pattern M.1 in the center and the other sts in stocking st vertically with 1 edge st in garter st in each side. When piece measures 8 cm cast off for sleeve cap at beg of row in each side as follows: 4 sts 1 time, 2 sts 2-2-2-1-1-1 times, 1 st 8-9-11-16-16-18 times, then cast off 2 sts in each side until piece measures 17-18-19-21-21-23 cm, cast off 3 sts 1 time in each side. Cast off. The sleeve now measures approx. 18-19-20-22-22-24 cm. Knit another sleeve. ASSEMBLY: Sew the shoulder seams. Sew sleeve seams inside 1 edge st. Sew in the sleeves. NECKLINE: Knit up approx. 92-100-100-105-118-122 sts around the neckline on double pointed needles size 3.5 mm with Muskat. Work 4 rounds in garter st. Cast off. |
