Knitting tension: 17 stitches x 22 rows with needle size 5 mm and M.1 and M.2 = 10 x 10 cm. Remember needle size is only a guide! Pattern: See diagram (1 diagram = 1 repeat). The pattern is seen from the right side. Rib: * K2, P2 *. Repeat from *-*. ---------------------------------------------------------- Body: Cast on 128-136-144 (160-168-176) stitches with circular needle size 4 mm and light pink and purl 1 round. Then work rib for 2 cm. Change to circular needle size 5 mm and increase 20 stitches evenly over the middle 52 stitches in front and 20 stitches evenly over the middle 52 stitches at back, at the same time as you work pattern on the round as follows: * 16-18-20 (24-26-28) stitches of M.1, M.3, 16-18-20 (24-26-28) stitches of M.2 * = front piece, repeat from *-* over the back piece = 168-176-184 (200-208-216) stitches. Continue this pattern upwards. Remember the knitting tension. When piece measures 13-15-17 (18-19-21) cm, work the next round as follows: Cast off 2 stitches for armhole, 80-84-88 (96-100-104) stitches front piece, cast off 4 stitches for armhole, 80-84-88 (96-100-104) stitches back piece, cast off 2 stitches for armhole. Each piece is finished separately - make sure the cable needle is on the right side. Front piece: = 80-84-88 (96-100-104) stitches. Continue to decrease for armholes in each side every 2nd row: 2 stitches x 2-1-1 (2-2-2), 1 stitch x 1-2-2 (3-2-3) = 70-76-80 (82-88-90) stitches. When piece measures 28-31-34 (36-37-40) cm, cast off the middle 34-34-34 (36-36-36) stitches for neck. Then continue to decrease for neck every 2nd row: 3 stitches x 1, 2 stitches x 1, 1 stitch x 1. Cast off when piece measures 32-35-39 (41-43-45) cm. Back piece: = 80-84-88 (96-100-104) stitches. Continue to decrease for armholes as for front piece = 70-76-80 (82-88-90) stitches. When piece measures 30-33-37 (39-41-43) cm, cast off the middle 42-42-42 (44-44-44) stitches for neck. Then decrease 2 stitches in each side on the next row towards neck. Cast off when piece measures 32-35-39 (41-43-45) cm. Left sleeve: Cast on 28-32-36 (36-40-40) stitches with double pointed needles size 4 mm and light pink and purl 1 round. Then work rib for 2 cm. Change to double pointed needles size 5 mm, work M.1 upwards (make sure that you have a repeat mid top of sleeve) and increase 2-2-2 (2-0-0) stitches evenly on round 1 = 30-34-38 (38-40-40) stitches. At the same time, when piece measures 4-4-4 (4-4-4) cm increase mid under sleeve: 2 stitches x 17-17-18 (20-21-21) in Sizes 3/4+5/6 years: Every 2nd round, Sizes 7/8+9/10 years: Alternately every 2nd and 3rd round and in Sizes 11/12+13/14 years: Every 3rd round = 64-68-74 (78-82-82) stitches. When piece measures 22-25-29 (33-36-39) cm, cast off 4 stitches mid under sleeve and finish working back and forth on needle. Continue to cast off for sleeve cap in each side every 2nd row: 4 stitches x 5. Cast off when piece measures 28-31-35 (39-42-45) cm. Right sleeve: Cast on and work as for left sleeve, but work M.2 instead of M.1. Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Knit up approx. 72-84 stitches around neck with double pointed needles size 4 mm and light pink and work rib for 4-5-5 (5-6-6) cm, cast off. Now crochet an edge around bottom of body, bottom of sleeves and around neck with hook size 3.5 mm and light pink as follows: 1 double crochet, * 3 chain stitches, 1 double crochet in first chain stitch, skip 2 stitches and work 1 double crochet *, repeat from *-*.
