Altså, strikk mønster (vrangbord og A.1 som før over 18-26 masker), øk 1 maske etter 1. merke (les forklaringen til Sadelskulderøkning, denne økte masken er den du ser i 2.rad i diagram A.2), strikk A.2, strikk A.3, strikk A.4, øk 1 maske før 2. merke (denne masken vises i A.4 på 2.rad). Fortsett på samme måte over neste skulder og bakstykket. mvh DROPS Design

Who writes these patterns? Why can’t they be written in the way other patterns are written? Your patterns are too wordy, you don’t use standard abbreviations, even for the UK there are standard abbreviations. I won’t knit from your patterns and I’ve been knitting 10 years. I will never recommend your patterns because they’re too wordy and they’re confusing. Please someone learn how to write a pattern using standard abbreviations and not be so wordy.

------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN: ------------------------------------------------------- PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 to A.6. The stitch count in A.1 will vary but is always counted as 6 stitches. The diagrams show the pattern from the right side. INCREASE TIP: INCREASE 1 STITCH TOWARDS LEFT AFTER MARKER: Use the left needle to pick up the strand between 2 stitches from the previous round, pick up the strand from the front and knit the back loop. INCREASE 1 STITCH TOWARDS RIGHT BEFORE MARKER: Use the left needle to pick up the strand between 2 stitches from the previous round, pick up the strand from the back and knit the front loop. I-CORD: FIRST 2 STITCHES: Worked on all rows: Slip 1 stitch purl-wise with strand in front, knit 1. LAST 2 STITCHES: Worked on all rows: Work until there are 2 stitches left on row, slip 1 stitch purl-wise with strand in front, knit 1. ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- NECK-WARMER - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: The pattern uses both long and short needles; start with the length which fits the number of stitches and change when necessary. The neck and yoke are worked in the round with circular needle, from right back shoulder, top down. When the yoke is finished, stitches are cast off for the shoulders and the front and back pieces finished separately, back and forth. NECK-WARMER: Cast on 104-120 stitches with circular needle size 4 mm and DROPS Daisy or DROPS Karisma. Change to circular needle size 3.5 mm (casting on with a larger needle size makes the cast-on edge elastic). Work in the round as follows: Rib (knit 2, purl 2) over the first 6-10 stitches, work A.1, rib (knit 2, purl 2) over the next 46-54 stitches, work A.1, rib (knit 2, purl 2) over the last 40-44 stitches. Continue like this in the round for 8 cm – with the last round being the last round in A.1. The neck can be folded double later if wished, leaving a height of approx. 4 cm. Insert 1 marker after the first 35-43 stitches (approx. mid-front), the piece is now measured from here. YOKE: Change to circular needle size 4 mm and work the next round as follows: Rib and A.1 as before over the first 18-26 stitches (shoulder-stitches), insert marker-1 here. Work the next 34-34 stitches as follows: Purl 2, knit 2, make 1 yarn over, knit 2, make 1 yarn over, work rib (knit 2, purl 2) over the next 8 stitches, * knit 1, make 1 yarn over *, work from *-* a total of 6 times (= 6 stitches increased to 12 stitches), work rib (knit 2, purl 2) over the next 8 stitches, make 1 yarn over, knit 2, make 1 yarn over, knit 2, purl 2 (= 44-44 stitches on front piece), insert marker-2 here. Work rib and A.1 over the next 18-26 stitches (shoulder stitches), insert marker-3 here. Work the next 34-34 stitches as follows: Purl 2, knit 2, make 1 yarn over, knit 2, make 1 yarn over, work rib (knit 2, purl 2) over the next 8 stitches, * knit 1, make 1 yarn over *, work from *-* a total of 6 times (= 6 stitches increased to 12 stitches), work rib (knit 2, purl 2) over the next 8 stitches, make 1 yarn over, knit 2, make 1 yarn over, knit 2, purl 2 (= 44-44 stitches on back piece), insert marker-4 here = 124-140 stitches (work the yarn overs twisted on the next round to avoid holes). On the next round you work PATTERN and increase for the saddle shoulders – therefore read the next 2 sections before continuing. PATTERN: Work in the round as follows: Rib and A.1 as before over the first 18-26 stitches, work A.2, A.3, A.4 (= front piece), rib and A.1 as before over the next 18-26 stitches, work A.2, A.3, A.4 (= back piece). Continue this pattern. SADDLE-SHOULDER INCREASES: Increase 4 stitches on the round as follows: Increase AFTER markers 1 and 3 and BEFORE markers 2 and 4 – read INCREASE TIP. You only increase on the front and back pieces; the number of shoulder stitches remains the same. Increase like this every round a total of 29 times = 240-256 stitches. Remember to maintain the knitting tension. After the last increase the yoke measures approx. 10 cm from the marker and there is 1 round left in A.2 and A.4. On the next and final round, the shoulder stitches are cast off and the front and back pieces are divided as follows: Cast off the first 18-26 stitches with knit over knit and purl over purl, work A.2, A.3, A.4 (= front piece), cast off the next 18-26 stitches with knit over knit and purl over purl, work A.2, A.3, A.4 (= back piece). The front and back pieces are finished separately. BACK PIECE: = 102-102 stitches. Continue the pattern back and forth; the first row is from the wrong side: Work A.5, A.3, A.6. From the right side work A.6, A.3, A.5. When A.6 is finished in height there are 78-78 stitches. The piece measures approx. 20 cm from the marker. Change to circular needle size 3.5 mm and work as follows from the right side: Work 2 stitches in I-CORD – read description above, purl 2, * knit 1, knit 2 together, purl 2, * work from *-* a total of 5 times, knit 2, purl 2, work from *-* 2 times, knit 2, purl 2, knit 2, purl 2, work from *-* 5 times, work 2 stitches in I-cord = 66-66 stitches. Work rib (knit 2, purl 2) with I-cord on each side for 3 cm. Cast off with knit over knit and purl over purl. The neck warmer measures approx. 23-23 cm from the marker and 26-28 cm from top of shoulder. FRONT PIECE: Work in the same way as the back piece. DOUBLE NECK: You can fold the neck double to the inside and fasten with a couple of stitches. |
