Hi Linda, at the top, to the right of the pattern title you will find the printer icon. Click here, you will see 'Print pattern'. Click here and then change the printer name for 'Save as PDF' in the drop-down menu. Happy knitting!

Strikker i Karisma, følger mønsteret, men strømperne bliver ALT for store. Har forsøgt at strikke strammere, men så får jeg ufleksibel/hård strømpe. Øv

Loved these socks! My first time doing any color work as I'm new to knitting and I found the pattern easy enough to follow and keep on track. Thank you so much!

In the past the Drops patterns had the option to print or to download as a pdf. Is this pdf option no longer available? Thank you
17.12.2022 - 17:56DROPS Design answered:
Dear Lorinda, there is a button for printing the pattern, just below the knitting tension. You can use the same button to download the pattern; just select "Save as PDF" instead of your printer when the prompt appears. Happy knitting!

------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN: ------------------------------------------------------- PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 to A.3. The pattern is worked in stocking stitch. KNITTING TIP: To avoid the knitting tension losing its elasticity when working pattern it is important that the strands at the back are not tight. Use a size larger needle when working pattern if the piece becomes tight. HEEL DECREASES: ROW 1 (= right side): Knit until there are 7 stitches left, slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch, turn the piece. ROW 2 (= wrong side): Purl until there are 7 stitches left, slip 1 stitch as if to purl, purl 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the purled stitch, turn the piece. ROW 3 (= right side): Knit until there are 6 stitches left, slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch, turn the piece. ROW 4 (= wrong side): Purl until there are 6 stitches left, slip 1 stitch as if to purl, purl 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the purled stitch, turn the piece. Continue to decrease like this, working until there is 1 stitch less each time before slipping a stitch and until there are 12-14-16 stitches left on the needle. DECREASE TIP (for toe): Start 3 stitches before the marker, knit 2 together, knit 2 (marker sits between these 2 stitches), slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch (2 stitches decreased). Repeat at the other marker. ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- SOCK – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: The piece is worked in the round with double pointed needles, from the leg down to the toe. The sock-length corresponds to the foot-length. If you want a sock which is slightly stretched when worn shorten the foot-length before decreasing for the toe. LEG: Cast on 60-60-68 stitches with double pointed needles size 3 mm and colour wine red DROPS Karisma. Knit 1 round, then work rib (knit 2, purl 2) and stripes as follows: 2 rounds with colour wine red, 2 rounds with colour light grey and 4 rounds with colour wine red. The rib measures approx. 3 cm. Knit 1 round with colour light grey and decrease 4 stitches evenly spaced = 56-56-64 stitches. Change to double pointed needles size 3.5 mm. Read KNITTING TIP. Work A.1, 7-7-8 times on the round. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When A.1 is finished work A.2, 7-7-8 times on the round. AT THE SAME TIME on the last round decrease 8-0-8 stitches evenly spaced = 48-56-56 stitches. When A.2 is finished, work A.3, 6-7-7 times on the round. When A.3 is finished work stocking stitch with colour light grey AT THE SAME TIME on the first round decrease 0-4-0 stitches evenly spaced = 48-52-56 stitches. When the leg measures 15-16-16 cm, work the heel and foot with colour light grey. HEEL AND FOOT: Knit the first 12-13-14 stitches and keep them on the needle for the heel, place the next 24-26-28 stitches on a thread (top of foot) and keep the last 12-13-14 stitches on the needle for the heel = 24-26-28 heel-stitches. Work stocking stitch back and forth over the heel-stitches for 6-6-6½ cm. Insert a marker in the last row; the foot is measured from this marker. Work HEEL DECREASES – read description above. After the decreases work the next round as follows: Knit the 12-14-16 heel-stitches, knit up 13-13-14 stitches along one side of the heel, knit the 24-26-28 stitches from the thread and knit up 13-13-14 stitches along the other side of the heel = 62-66-72 stitches. Work to the middle of the heel – the round now starts here. Insert 1 marker on each side of the 24-26-28 stitches on top of the foot. Work stocking stitch and knit together the last 2 stitches before the first marker and knit twisted together the first 2 stitches after the second marker. Decrease like this every round a total of 4 times, then every 2nd round 6-6-7 times = 42-46-50 stitches. Work until the foot measures 18-19-21 cm from the marker on the heel and measured under the foot. There is approx. 4-5-5 cm left; try the sock on and work to desired length before decreasing for the toe. TOE: Insert 1 marker on each side of the sock, with 21-23-25 stitches on top of and underneath the foot. Work stocking stitch and on the first round decrease for the toe on each side of both markers – read DECREASE TIP (4 stitches decreased). Decrease like this every 2nd round a total of 5-7-6 times, then every round 3-2-4 times = 10 stitches. Cut the strand, pull it through the remaining stitches, tighten and fasten well. The sock measures approx. 22-24-26 cm from the heel-marker, measured under the foot. Work the other sock in the same way. |
